Uc Thinh Vietnam Glass Technology Development Co., Ltd. recently launched phase 2 last weekend.
Mr. Jiang Zhi Bin, General Director of Uc Thinh Vietnam Glass Technology Development Co., Ltd., said that the Uc Thinh Vietnam Glass Manufacturing Plant project has a total registered capital of VND 1,447 billion (approximately USD 58 million).
Phase 1, invested in by the company 10 years ago, is operating stably and currently provides employment for 304 workers. Phase 2, with an investment of approximately $25 million, will begin in 2025.
Mr. Jiang Zhi Bin said: “Over the years, we have always focused on creating stable jobs and good benefits for our workers. Last February, we also adjusted the salary structure, increasing workers' income. With the expansion of investment, increasing the factory's capacity from 100 tons/day to 550 tons/day, we expect to create jobs for 500 local workers.”
We also have policies to train and improve the skills of our staff to work with the local community to develop a skilled and high-quality workforce. Our goal for the coming years is to achieve an estimated annual revenue of approximately 1,600 billion VND, contributing about 16 billion VND to the state budget.”
The SGI Magnetic Factory project, belonging to SGI VINA Co., Ltd., has also recently been completed and put into operation in the Bac Chu Lai Industrial Park, with a total registered investment capital of nearly 2,681 billion VND (equivalent to 110 million USD).
According to Mr. Bang Jeff Seung Tae, Director of SGI VINA Co., Ltd., the factory is starting mass production with 2,000 tons per year, followed by 5,000 tons, and finally reaching 8,000 tons per year by 2028.
Mr. Bang Jeff Seung Tae said: “We have about 350 employees and will eventually need 1,000-1,200 skilled and unskilled local employees in various positions, including production, engineering, quality control, maintenance and management.”

During the project investment process, both directors stated that the investor greatly appreciated the support from government agencies in handling administrative procedures related to investment, construction, taxes, and other legal documents.
The Vietnamese government in general, and Quang Nam province in particular, have implemented specific policies and regulations for each aspect of the work, providing clear guidance on each work process through the electronic public service system. This has helped the company complete the project's legal procedures smoothly.
Mr. Bang Jeff Seung Tae suggested: “Given the recent mergers and consolidations of many departments and agencies, we recommend focusing on further streamlining approval processes to ensure faster processing times for future projects.”

Commitment to partnership
At the plaque unveiling ceremony for the two industrial projects, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Phan Thai Binh, highly appreciated and acknowledged the efforts of the two enterprises in completing the projects in time for the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Quang Nam Province (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025) and the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Provincial Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025).
Comrade Phan Thai Binh affirmed that this is a highly significant event aimed at recognizing the contributions of the project investor to the construction and development of Quang Nam province.
According to Phan Thai Binh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the completed projects, once operational, will contribute a large scale of investment capital and modern technology to the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, helping to increase industrial production value, contribute to budget revenue, and create jobs for local workers.
Besides the new project, the fact that existing projects are continuing to expand to phase 2 shows the stable and favorable investment and business environment of Quang Nam province for foreign investors, and the determination of project investors to complete the projects on schedule.
Comrade Phan Thai Binh expressed his hope that the projects would continue to develop, becoming symbols of high-tech industry in Quang Nam, contributing to making the locality a modern production center of the whole country.
