LPBank Securities and related parties have purchased 89.6 million HAG shares, increasing their ownership to 8.47% of the charter capital. The transaction took place on April 25th.
This information was recently sent by LPBank Securities Joint Stock Company to the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE).
Following the transaction, LPBank Securities and related parties increased their ownership to 89.6 million HAG shares, equivalent to 8.47% of the charter capital, becoming a major shareholder group in Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Company (HAG).
Specifically, LPBank Securities owns 50 million shares, while individuals related to the company hold a large number of the remaining HAG shares, including Mr. Le Minh Tam with 28 million, Mr. Nguyen Duc Binh with 1.3 million, Ms. Tran Thi Thu Huong with approximately 5.65 million, and Ms. Pham Le Thi Hong Hoa with 4.68 million units.
In addition to LPBank and the aforementioned group of shareholders, Hoang Anh Gia Lai also sold 52 million shares to Thaigroup Joint Stock Company at a price of 10,000 VND per share in the recent private placement, representing 4.92% of its charter capital.
With the proceeds of 1.3 trillion VND from the offering, Mr. Duc's company will use 346.7 billion VND to repurchase ahead of schedule the entire principal and interest of the bonds issued by the company on June 18, 2012, with bond code HAG2012.300. The remaining amount will be used to restructure debt for its subsidiary and supplement working capital.
In an unusual information release on May 7th, Hoang Anh Gia Lai announced that it had received resignation letters from Mr. Nguyen Chi Thang, a member of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Le Hong Phong, a member of the Supervisory Board.
In the first quarter, the company achieved a net profit of VND 226 billion. Currently, the company still has accumulated losses of VND 1,452.4 billion, equivalent to 15.7% of its charter capital (charter capital is VND 9,274.7 billion).
On the market, HAG shares are rising above 13,100 VND per share as of May 7th.
