At the end of November, a video appeared on social media capturing the moment of the wedding ceremony of a Vietnamese wife and Japanese husband, attracting 1.2 million views, more than 30,000 likes and thousands of comments. In the clip, when taking a photo, the nearly 2m tall groom put his arms around his 1m46 tall wife, but because the bride was small, he hugged her in the air, making both families laugh. After that moment, the groom took the initiative to bend down and give his wife a sweet hug. Under the video, some viewers commented: "It looks so cute", "When I first watched the video, I thought the bride was sitting and the groom was standing. The height difference is so big but they still look so beautiful together". Another person joked: "So cute, it turns out the bride chose to be tall to strengthen her children's lives"... Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Tran Thi Phuong Linh said that she was the bride in the clip, the guy next to her was Abe Kazuma - her husband. Their wedding ceremony took place on November 24. The couple has returned to Japan and is living and working in Tokyo, Japan. "I was quite surprised, at first I was a bit confused when my love story was getting attention from everyone, but when I read the blessings, I was very happy," Linh said. Linh and her husband met by chance. After graduating from high school, in 2018, Linh went to Japan to study at Reitaku University. During the summer vacation of 2022, to improve her Japanese and gain experience, she applied for a part-time job at a testing center where Kazuma was working. "At that time, I never thought I would fall in love with a Japanese boyfriend because there were many cultural and lifestyle differences," Linh said. The first time she met Kazuma, Phuong Linh couldn't help but be wary. He was tall, had a cold face, and a somewhat stiff voice. Some colleagues even warned that "this man is very difficult." Although initially quite shy, fate made Phuong Linh and Kazuma often meet on the train to work. One time, Linh gathered all her courage to ask Kazuma about family matters, she accidentally asked him how many children he had. Kazuma laughed and replied that if he didn't have a girlfriend, how could he have children. His answer made Phuong Linh embarrassed, she quickly apologized, her cheeks red. It was that moment that made Kazuma's heart flutter, he began to feel the loveliness of the young girl.

The couple's wedding attracted attention on social networks. After their first conversation, Kazuma began to take the initiative to care for and help Phuong Linh at work. He also often joked, making her laugh. Liking this petite girl, the 42-year-old man decided to learn Vietnamese to impress her and create more opportunities to get close to her. Phuong Linh's initial worries gradually disappeared when the two had many opportunities to chat when there were no customers. After a few chats, she discovered that the "uncle" who was 17 years older than her was very interesting and humorous. "At first glance at his appearance and the way he talked, I thought he was only 30 years old. When I found out his real age, I was a bit shocked," Linh said, laughing. After two months of working, Linh decided to quit her part-time job to focus on studying. On her last day at work, Kazuma suddenly organized a farewell party for her and at that party, he confessed his love. Phuong Linh was hesitant because of the age difference between the two. However, due to Kazuma's sincere feelings and positive changes since they met, she decided to give both of them a chance.

During the time they got to know each other, Linh realized that Kazuma was a delicate and emotional person. Although he was not used to cooking and was afraid of holding a knife, he still tried to learn to cook just to see her smile. Once, when Linh had a high fever, Kazuma kept asking about her health . Not stopping there, he also spent two hours on the train from Tokyo to Chiba, where Linh lived, to bring her porridge, medicine and take good care of her. It was this concern that made Linh feel touched and believe that she had chosen the right person. Although living in two different cities, the two still kept the habit of dating every month, watching movies and going out to maintain their connection. Linh said that the principle in their love is to always listen and share often to understand each other better. When appearing together on the street, the couple often attracted attention because of the obvious height difference. Kazuma's outstanding height of nearly 2m often surprises passersby, but for Linh, it brings a feeling of safety and protection when walking beside him.

The couple's love is supported by both families . The love story between Phuong Linh and Kazuma went smoothly and was very supported by his family. From the first time they met, Linh felt the love that his parents had for her. Linh became the daughter that Kazuma's family loved very much. They always prepared delicious dishes for her, remembered her preferences and pampered her like a family member. As for her family, Linh couldn't help but worry when thinking about being opposed because of the differences in language, culture and age difference between the two. During the recent Lunar New Year, Linh brought Kazuma to visit his family in Binh Duong province, and on this occasion, he asked to marry her. This surprised Linh because the two had never talked about marriage before, but it also made her emotional. When Linh's father asked Kazuma about his plans to get married, he replied that it would be on November 22. Kazuma explained that November 22 is a special and lucky day for couples, and in Japan, many people choose this day to register their marriage. As promised to Linh's father, Kazuma planned to hold the wedding on November 22, but for some objective reasons, they had to change it to November 24. The wedding was held according to traditional Vietnamese rituals, but both of them still chose to wear traditional Japanese wedding costumes. Kazuma's father and siblings flew to Vietnam to attend and bless the couple. Linh also said that they would hold another wedding in Japan later.
