Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Court has decided to open bankruptcy proceedings against Cam Ranh Shipbuilding One Member Co., Ltd.

On December 7, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , the leader of Cam Ranh Shipbuilding One Member Co., Ltd. confirmed that the People's Court of Khanh Hoa Province had issued a decision to open bankruptcy proceedings against the company. Currently, the company is still operating and awaiting the court's decision.
Cam Ranh Shipbuilding One Member Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (SBIC).
In December 2023, the Government issued a resolution on the plan to organize the implementation of the Politburo 's conclusion on the policy of handling SBIC.
Accordingly, the parent company SBIC and 7 subsidiaries (including the shipbuilding LLCs: Ha Long, Pha Rung, Bach Dang, Thinh Long, Cam Ranh; Saigon Shipbuilding Industry LLC; Saigon Shipbuilding and Maritime Industry LLC) will be bankrupted.
According to Resolution No. 220/NQ-CP, SBIC and 7 subsidiaries will carry out bankruptcy procedures from the first quarter of 2024.
On the same day, December 7, a leader of Khanh Hoa Department of Transport said that in May 2024, Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Xuan Sang worked with Cam Ranh Shipbuilding One Member Co., Ltd. to implement the plan to bankrupt SBIC according to Resolution No. 220/NQ-CP of the Government.
In particular, thoroughly disseminate to all cadres, employees and inform partners about the Government's policy. Based on the actual situation of each enterprise, report to SBIC the handling plan in the coming time, ensuring a thorough handling according to legal regulations, avoiding loss and waste.
Along with that, it is necessary to arrange and organize funding sources to resolve policies and regimes for employees who are still in debt and pay according to regulations; research and develop plans to support employees when handling businesses...
