Providing high-quality tourism human resources for the Central region

(NLDO) - On November 15, Da Nang College of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) held the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year and welcomed new students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duy Quang, Principal of Da Nang College of Tourism, said that the 2023-2024 school year was the second year the school applied the new training program based on performance capacity with the credit/module training method.

Last year, more than 200 students of the 11th course graduated from the College system from March 2024, promptly supplying the tourism - hotel market in Da Nang and the Central provinces with a highly skilled workforce.

"In the 2024-2025 school year, the school will focus on developing students' skills, abilities and creative thinking, to prepare them for a competitive and challenging labor market," said Mr. Nguyen Duy Quang.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the School will enroll 500/720 students assigned, continue to develop a project to open a high-quality class in Hotel Management to prepare for enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year; digitize 100% of training management activities through training management software...

On this occasion, Danang College of Tourism mobilized accompanying units to support a series of scholarships for students with difficult circumstances.

Danang College of Tourism is a public vocational training institution under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with the capacity to provide multi-disciplinary, multi-level training, train high-quality human resources, approach regional and international levels; train in association with enterprises, combine research, application, transfer of scientific and technological advances to contribute to improving the quality of human resources in the economic - tourism, socio-economic sectors of the locality and the world, in which training tourism human resources with high professional skills is the focus.

The results of college level enrollment in 2023 reached 450/448 targets, reaching 100%; for the elementary level, short-term training organized 189 elementary level 2 classes on reception, room service, restaurant, and food processing techniques for hotels, resorts, etc.

In the 2023-2024 school year, the school organized training for nearly 1,000 college students in grades 11, 12, and 13 studying in 9 training majors including: Hotel Management, Resort Management, Restaurant Management, Travel Management, Tour Guide, Culinary Arts, English Tourism Interpretation, MICE Tourism Management, Multimedia Communications.
