The 1st Congress of the Quang Tri Provincial Association for Promotion of Education

QTO - On the morning of December 8, the Quang Tri Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education held its first Congress of delegates for the 2025-2030 term. Attending were comrades: Nguyen Hong Son, Vice President of the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Education; Dao Manh Hung, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Phan Phong Phu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and delegates, representing nearly 510,000 members of the Association for the Promotion of Education in the whole province.

During the past term, with the tradition of learning of the homeland, along with the attention and leadership of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education and Party committees and authorities at all levels, and the participation of the entire political system, it has contributed to creating a clear change in the work of promoting learning, promoting talents, and building a learning society. The whole province currently has 39 associations and branches of learning promotion under the provincial association, 78 associations for promoting learning in communes, wards, and special zones with 509,900 members. The organizations of learning promotion associations in the province have always been consolidated and operated in a disciplined manner, promoting their core role in linking and coordinating with organizations and social forces to participate in activities of promoting learning, promoting talents, and building a learning society.

The models of "Learning Family", "Learning Clan", "Learning Community", "Learning Unit" and "Learning Citizen" are increasingly being replicated and effectively promoted, contributing to creating changes in the lifelong learning movement in the province.

Up to now, the whole province has 337,409 learning families (accounting for 80% of families in the whole province); 2,995 learning clans (accounting for 65% of the total clans in the whole province); 1,268 learning units (accounting for 92% of the total units under commune management) and 351,426 learning citizens. The movement to build learning models has become a widely developed mass movement, associated with the movements "All people unite to build a cultural life" and "Building new rural areas and civilized urban areas".

The work of mobilizing and building the Education Promotion Fund has been focused on. In the 2021 - 2025 term, the provincial associations mobilized and supported the Education Promotion Fund with more than 600 billion VND; awarded more than 960,000 scholarships and commended, honored and nurtured young talents.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Quang Tri Provincial Association for Promotion of Education will continue to promote the achieved results, innovate and digitalize, promote the work of promoting education and talents, contributing to building Quang Tri province into a learning province.

Speaking at the congress, comrade Dao Manh Hung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education, and thanked the attention and direction of the Vietnam Association for Promotion of Education, the responsible coordination of all levels, sectors, member organizations of the Front, the valuable companionship of the business community, philanthropists and Quang Tri people living and working in all regions of the country. The Permanent Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee emphasized the consistent viewpoint of our Party and State on education - training and building a learning society; at the same time, expressed his belief that, with the tradition of studiousness of the homeland, together with the spirit of solidarity and responsibility of the Association's staff and the people of the whole province, the movement to promote education and talent in Quang Tri province will continue to develop steadily.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee and Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education, term 2025 - 2030. Mr. Tran Xuan Vinh was re-elected as Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education.

On this occasion, comrade Nguyen Hong Son, Vice President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, presented 100 million VND from the Vietnam Fund for Promoting Education to support 100 scholarships for students in Quang Tri province; units and enterprises also supported the Quang Tri Fund for Promoting Education with a total amount of 350 million VND.
