Long Xuyen Ward Police was established on the basis of merging and consolidating the police forces of 6 old wards of Long Xuyen City (My Long, My Binh, My Hoa, My Xuyen, My Quy and My Phuoc). With a large area and population density, the ward is still considered a central area, with a dense population creating favorable conditions for local trade and economic development. Lieutenant Colonel Vo Van Chinh (Head of Long Xuyen Ward Police) said: "The ward police force operates in 5 working groups (comprehensive group, security group, order police group, neighborhood police group and crime prevention and control police group). We are responsible for proactively forecasting, grasping the situation, maintaining political security, social order and safety to promptly advise the Party Committee, the Provincial Police Department Board of Directors, local Party committees and authorities in protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, and preventing sudden and unexpected situations".
Despite facing difficulties in the new mission, each officer and soldier of Long Xuyen Ward Police is still determined to build a strong unit and complete all tasks excellently. Major Le Thanh Ly shared: “We will strictly follow the People's Police regulations, practice discipline, maintain internal solidarity, and build a clean and strong unit in all aspects. In any circumstance, the unit will be determined not to be passive or surprised, and maintain the people's security posture.”
Long Xuyen Ward Police Force is determined to work with the Party Committee and People's Committee of the ward to build a strong unit and ensure good security and order.
Faced with the heavy requirements and tasks, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Long Xuyen Ward Party Committee Vo Thi Xuan Kieu suggested: “The ward police force needs to focus on urgently stabilizing the organization and apparatus, assigning tasks clearly and effectively, not leaving areas and fields vacant, ensuring sufficient quantity, capacity, and effective management of the area. Focus on personnel work, ensuring that each position has people with sufficient qualities, capacity, and strong political will. Continue to promote the role and responsibility of the Party Committee and unit leaders in terms of ethics, capacity, and work results. Correctly identify, strongly suppress, and strictly handle all types of crimes and common violations of the law in the area, such as: The situation of young people gathering in groups at night to violate the law; theft by breaking into people's houses, using weapons to resolve conflicts...”.
Sharing the pressure with the police force at the grassroots level, Major General Nguyen Van Han (Director of the Provincial Police) visited and encouraged officers and soldiers of My Hoa Hung Commune Police and Vinh Te Ward Police. Thereby, grasping the situation and comprehensive results of all aspects of work; focusing on organizing the new apparatus, political logistics, implementing Project 06/CP, fighting and preventing crime, ensuring traffic order and safety... Currently, the facilities, materials, workplaces, public reception areas; organization, arrangement of leadership and command, officers in charge of each department and hamlet of the units ensure requirements and tasks.
“To increase people’s trust in the Party and State’s merger policy, commune-level police leaders need to urgently put the organization and apparatus into effective operation; continue to advise local Party committees and authorities to direct departments, branches and organizations to coordinate with the police force in the fight against and prevention of crime; strengthen basic professional work and administrative management of social order; and promote the movement of All people protecting national security. In particular, it is necessary to effectively implement Project 06/CP to serve the people better and better,” Major General Nguyen Van Han suggested.
