Wanted but still in possession of drugs

On May 16, information from Nam Dinh Provincial Police said that the Drug Crime Investigation Department (Nam Dinh Provincial Police) coordinated with the Traffic Police Department to arrest Dinh Van Tien (35 years old, residing in Tam Diep City, Ninh Binh) and Nguyen Van Hai (35 years old, residing in Giao Thuy District, Nam Dinh) to investigate the act of illegal possession of drugs. In which, Tien is the subject of a special wanted decision for the crime of "illegal possession of drugs".

According to the case file, on December 23, 2022, Dinh Van Tien drove a car illegally storing drugs on the road and ran a red light at the intersection of National Highway 10 and Phu Nghia Street (Loc Ha Ward, Nam Dinh City), causing an accident that injured 2 people and damaged 4 motorbikes. Dinh Van Tien left the car at the scene and fled.

During the investigation and examination of the scene by Nam Dinh City Police, 396 grams of various synthetic drugs (ecstasy and ketamine) were discovered in the car left by Dinh Van Tien. The case file was transferred to the Drug Crime Investigation Department (Nam Dinh Provincial Police) for handling and investigation.

Afterwards, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue a wanted notice for Dinh Van Tien for illegal possession of drugs.

On April 21, the authorities determined that Dinh Van Tien and his accomplices were in Nam Dinh. This information was reported to the Nam Dinh Provincial Police Department.

At about 4:00 a.m. the same day, the Drug Crime Investigation Department (Nam Dinh Provincial Police) coordinated with the Traffic Police Department to inspect and catch Dinh Van Tien and Nguyen Van Hai in the act of illegally possessing 38 ecstasy pills, 2 packages of methamphetamine, 3 blocks of ketamine, 1 package of ketamine and some other related evidence.

Dinh Van Tien has four previous convictions for gambling, theft, robbery and escaping from detention. Tien is a supplier of synthetic drugs to the provinces of Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thai Binh and Hanoi.
