Proposal to review the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee related to the AIC case

On August 23, information from the Inspection Committee of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee said that the unit has just announced the conclusion of the 24th meeting chaired by Mr. Le Minh Y - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee.

Accordingly, the Inspection Committee of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee found that the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province for the 2011-2016 and 2016-2021 terms did not regularly direct the inspection of investors in the organization of implementation of projects/bidding packages related to AIC International Progress Joint Stock Company and enterprises in the AIC ecosystem, the projects were not implemented in accordance with regulations, lacked synchronization, and some projects caused loss of state budget.

Regarding the above limitations, shortcomings and violations, the responsibility lies with the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province and a number of leaders of departments, branches and related professional officers in the role of investors, appraisers and approvers of projects/bid packages.

Considering the content, nature, level, consequences, and based on Party regulations, the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission reports and proposes that the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee direct a review of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2011-2016 and 2016-2021 terms and review, consider, and discipline a number of related Party members.

At the same time, the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission directed a review according to Party regulations and transferred information on two bidding packages with signs of law violations to the Provincial Police Investigation Agency for investigation and clarification.
