On July 21, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the input quality assurance threshold (also known as the floor score) for the group of university-level Teacher Training majors and college-level Preschool Education majors in 2023.
Specifically, the threshold to ensure input quality from high school graduation exam scores for admission to majors in the group of majors of University-level Teacher Training and College-level Preschool Education in 2023 for candidates in region 3 has the minimum score (without coefficient) of all combinations of 3 exams/subjects as follows:
The admission threshold for majors in the group of majors in the University-level Teacher Training majors is 19.0 points. For the majors of Physical Education, Music Pedagogy and Fine Arts Pedagogy, it is 18.0 points for the combination of 3 cultural subjects; other combinations of admission are implemented according to the provisions of the current Admission Regulations.
The admission threshold for the College-level Preschool Education program is 17.0 points for the admission combination of 3 cultural subjects. Other admission combinations are implemented according to the provisions of the current Admission Regulations.
Thus, compared to 2022, the floor score from the high school graduation exam score for the university-level Teacher Training group and the college-level Preschool Education group remains stable.
The Ministry of Education and Training assigns universities, academies, colleges and junior colleges that offer training in the Teacher Training group to organize the admission of candidates using the results of the high school graduation exam according to the regulations of the current Regulations on university admission; college admission in the field of Preschool Education and other relevant guiding documents.
