On the morning of February 13th, at the Temple of General Vo Nguyen Giap (Nguyen Xa commune), Dong Hung district held the 2025 military conscription ceremony.

Attending and encouraging the young men on their way to military service were: Major General Bui Cong Chuc, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 3; Rear Admiral Tran Xuan Van, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Naval Region 1; Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Military Service Council; Vu Thanh Van, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; and leaders of several departments, agencies, and organizations of the province and Dong Hung district.

In 2025, Dong Hung district had 373 young men performing military service and 46 young men performing service in the People's Public Security Force, completing 100% of the targets assigned by the higher authorities. The district's recruits were assigned to 8 receiving units: the 395th Division (Military Region 3), the Thai Binh Provincial Military Command; the 12th Army Corps; the Border Guard Command; the General Staff; the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command; the Navy; and the 86th Brigade (Chemical Corps). To successfully complete the recruitment and conscription targets, the District Military Command closely coordinated with relevant departments, agencies, and organizations to advise the District Military Service Council on implementing all stages and steps of the recruitment and conscription process, ensuring democracy, objectivity, fairness, and legality. 100% of the recruits met the requirements regarding political qualities, health, and educational level. Of these, over 60% are young people with health classifications 1 and 2, and more than 100 have university or college degrees.

At the ceremony, following the traditional fire-lighting ritual and the drumming of the enlistment ceremony, Major General Bui Cong Chuc, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 3; Rear Admiral Tran Xuan Van, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Naval Region 1; Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Military Service Council, along with leaders of provincial and district departments, agencies, and organizations, presented flowers and encouraged the young men to enlist; wishing the new recruits to continue to inherit and promote the revolutionary traditions of their homeland, the pioneering and volunteer spirit of youth, actively study, cultivate and improve their political acumen, excellently fulfill all assigned tasks, worthy of the trust of the Party Committee, government and people of the locality, contributing to building and firmly defending the Fatherland.
