Gen Z spreads the message of living with empathy in the digital age

“Youth psychology” is the focus of TEDx CNN Youth 2025: The Phoebe Phenomenon, where personal stories are told to “decode” emotions, erase prejudices and spread the message of living with empathy in the digital age.

Inspired by TED talks, TEDx is famous for its spirit of "Ideas worth spreading", the event conveyed profound messages about psychology, "decoding" psychological phenomena that occur with the desire to build a community where mental health issues are no longer a secret fear.

The event featured content creator Chao (Chau Anh) with her story of overcoming the past, a call for self-acceptance and moving towards the future. Writer Hien Trang – author of fantasy works – affirmed the role of literature as a tool to reflect human psychology through a surrealist lens.

The school’s students also expressed their independent thinking through emotional speeches, affirming the voice and aspirations of Generation Z. The event was organized by a group of students from the Foreign Language Specialized High School (University of Languages ​​and International Studies – VNU), attracting nearly 200 attendees.
