Solving the learning needs of children of officials, civil servants and public employees of An Giang province

On July 15, Director of the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province Tran Quang Bao chaired a conference to consider and resolve the learning needs of children of officials, civil servants and public employees of An Giang province (before the merger) who want to study at schools located in the province in the 2025-2026 school year.

According to preliminary statistics from the Departmentof Education and Training of An Giang province, by the end of July 14, 14 departments, agencies and sectors located in Rach Gia ward sent a summary list of students who are children of 36 officials, civil servants and public employees of An Giang province (before the merger) who want to transfer schools to Rach Gia ward.

Specifically, there are a total of 53 students enrolled in 12 schools from kindergarten to high school; including 1 preschooler, 30 elementary school students, 21 middle school students and 1 high school student.

Schools that organize entrance exams and assessments for grade 6 admission in the 2025-2026 school year such as Le Quy Don Middle School, Nguyen Du Middle School, Hung Vuong Middle School, Vo Van Kiet Middle School and High School have a total of 20 registered students, including 11 grade 6 students.

At the conference, leaders of Rach Gia and Vinh Thong wards People's Committees and school leaders agreed and highly agreed on the policy of solving the learning needs of children of cadres, civil servants and public employees of An Giang province (before the merger).

Based on the actual situation, school and local leaders proposed many solutions in the spirit of creating favorable conditions, meeting the learning needs of students, while considering ensuring suitability with the actual conditions of schools and social justice.

Concluding the conference, Director of the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province, Tran Quang Bao, emphasized that the spirit of the Department of Education and Training is to be ready to receive and create the most favorable conditions for all students who are children of officials, civil servants and public employees from An Giang province (before the merger) so that officials, civil servants and public employees can work with peace of mind.

In that spirit, the Department of Education and Training calculates appropriate methods and approaches to both well address students' learning needs and ensure appropriateness, harmony, and social justice.

After the 2025-2026 school year, if these students achieve good academic performance or better and want to transfer to the above 4 schools in the 2026-2027 school year, they will be resolved according to regulations. For grades 7, 8, and 9, the Department of Education and Training directs schools to accept all students who want to register.

The number of students registering to transfer schools is expected to continue to increase in the coming days. Director of the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province, Tran Quang Bao, directed the Department's Office to coordinate with An Giang Newspaper and Radio - Television to widely announce so that parents who need to continue registering to transfer schools for students no later than July 22.

Schools that are able to accept students should register with the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province on July 26 so that the Department of Education and Training can synthesize and regulate.

Addressing schools' concerns that the high number of students in a class could affect the criteria for recognizing schools as meeting national standards, Director of the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province Tran Quang Bao said that the department will advise the Provincial People's Committee to give instructions on recognizing schools as meeting national standards in 2025.

“This is a new and unprecedented issue, so we are trying to overcome difficulties as we go along. During the implementation process, if any difficulties or problems arise, the Department of Education and Training will continue to coordinate with the two wards to resolve them in a reasonable and reasonable manner with the goal of ensuring that all students can go to school,” emphasized comrade Tran Quang Bao.
