The Provincial People's Committee has recently issued a document regarding the definitive resolution of water supply issues in the Tam Thang Industrial Park (Tam Ky City).
The Provincial People's Committee believes that, based on sharing, cooperation, and mutual support for development, ensuring a harmonious balance of interests among all parties and creating a favorable investment and business environment in the province, the most suitable solution is for Quang Nam Water Supply and Drainage Joint Stock Company (Quang Nam Water Supply and Drainage Company) to transfer the water supply responsibility for Ducksan Vina Company (within the water supply area of Quang Nam Water Supply and Drainage Company) to Phu Ninh Water Treatment Plant BOO Joint Stock Company (PNW Company); the remaining water supply area of PNW Company will remain unchanged. This proposal has been agreed upon by Quang Nam Water Supply and Drainage Company, and the Provincial People's Committee acknowledges and highly appreciates this goodwill.
It is known that, previously, during a meeting with provincial leaders, PNW Company made a proposal, and on July 31, 2024, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Letter No. 5708 agreeing on the content: PNW Company is the sole water supply unit in Tam Thang Industrial Park.
However, to date, many procedures and official documents have not been fully resolved, preventing the company from investing in water supply to the entire industrial park as directed by the Provincial People's Committee. The company hopes that the Provincial People's Committee will pay attention and immediately direct the next steps that need to be supplemented, helping the company complete the dossier for the advisory agency to approve the licensing of the remaining lines into Tam Thang Industrial Park.
It is known that currently there are 3 water supply units operating in Tam Thang Industrial Park, including CTNQN Company. This does not comply with the Government 's regulations on the production, supply, and consumption of clean water, leading to disputes over water supply areas within this industrial park.
