Ms. Huong Tra and Mr. Nhat Minh have been working at the Banking Academy since 2021. As former students of the school, Tra feels an "inexplicable connection" with this institution. "When I was little, my family lived in a residential area next to the Academy. I always dreamed of one day studying there. After four years of university, the memories I have here make me even more eager to become a staff member of the school," Tra said. As for Nhat Minh, his desire to stand on the lecture hall stage was nurtured since his university years. "I was always impressed by the carefulness and meticulousness of the teachers when imparting knowledge, skills, and thinking in learning and scientific research. That image helped nurture my dream and efforts to become a teacher," Minh shared. With that goal in mind, before graduating, both of them thoroughly researched the recruitment criteria of the Banking Academy. In 2020, Tra and Minh enrolled in a joint master's program between the Banking Academy and the University of West of England (United Kingdom). Nhat Minh said that as soon as he read the recruitment announcement from the Banking Academy, he was delighted because he knew "this was my opportunity." "Having surpassed many potential candidates, I was accepted. With the help and guidance of the teachers and colleagues during my internship, we have grown more and more mature," the young teacher said.

Currently, both are research fellows and lecturers at the Banking Research Institute. In their first few classes, Ms. Huong Tra surprised many students with her youthful appearance. According to Ms. Tra, being from the same generation is an advantage that helps her easily understand the students' thoughts and the difficulties they face in their studies and research. Therefore, during the teaching and guidance process, she always puts herself in the student's position to present and explain in the easiest way possible, creating a comfortable environment for them to fully express their abilities. Mr. Nhat Minh also recognizes the advantage of being a "Gen Z" teacher in teaching and connecting with students, thereby incorporating the interests of young people into the lecture content. “Gen Z likes to keep up with trends and breaking news on social media. Therefore, I often incorporate content related to the socio- economic situation, finance, and banking in Vietnam and internationally into the curriculum.” Every week, Professor Minh asks students to prepare a presentation on a prominent event related to economics, finance, banking, and society. According to him, this not only helps students stay up-to-date on current events but also provides a rich source of ideas for conducting scientific research projects that are innovative and highly practical, aiming to solve pressing social problems. “I find that students are very enthusiastic about presenting their knowledge and thoughts on economic events in the country and internationally. The proposed research topics are also becoming increasingly practical and innovative.” However, Professor Minh also recognizes his limitations in teaching experience and is always striving to learn and exchange experiences with senior colleagues to improve his skills.

In addition to teaching, research is also a parallel task for the professors. Currently, Ms. Tra is the main author of 3 scientific articles published in domestic and international journals related to the development of digital financial products and services; inclusive financial relationships and gender equality…; she participated in 1 ministerial-level scientific research project and supervised 4 student research groups that won numerous awards. Mr. Minh is the main author and co-author of many scientific articles published in prestigious domestic and international scientific journals in the fields of economics, finance, and banking. In 2024, Mr. Minh supervised 3 student research groups that won awards at the Academy level. He is currently the Secretary of the Youth Union of the Institute of Banking Research. The goal of both professors is to cultivate knowledge, skills, and experience, while also producing more high-quality scientific publications, inspiring and motivating students to pursue their studies and research.
