According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, by December 7, the 2025 dike maintenance project in the eastern area of ​​Hai Phong had completed an average of more than 70% of the construction volume of project items.

In which, package No. 6 is grouting to reinforce the dike body at K33+000 - K36+000 of Hoa left dike, K10+000 - K12+800 of Thai Binh left dike and package No. 5 is repairing the dike toe and slope; adjusting and clearing the slope, repairing the embankment, filling potholes and erosion grooves on the dike surface, basically completed.

Currently, the investor is focusing on urging construction units to speed up the progress of package 4 to reinforce and repair the dike surface on the right side of Thai Binh, right side of Cam, left side of Cam, right side of Moi, left side of Thai Binh, left side of Van Uc and package 7 to build 4 warehouses for flood and storm prevention materials combined with dike watchtowers.

Construction packages for embankment reinforcement and repair in the city are being accelerated.

The 2025 dike maintenance project was approved by the Department of Dike Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control in Decision No. 504/QD-DD-QLDD dated October 2, 2025 with a total investment of 40 billion VND from the 2025 irrigation, dike, and natural disaster prevention economic career fund managed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ; construction will be implemented in the old Hai Phong city.

The project consists of 4 packages 4, 5, 6 and 7. There are currently 2 packages 4 and 7 remaining, the construction units are striving to complete the entire project and put it into operation by December 30, 2025.

The dike restoration projects, once completed, will contribute to overcoming the degradation and damage of the dike system in the city, improving disaster prevention capacity.
