The Cleen Project, an environmental project founded by high school students in Hanoi, not only spreads the message of environmental protection but also fosters a spirit of community cohesion and inspires the belief that every small action can become a green seed for society.
"Every action is a seed, and we are persistently nurturing a greener, more loving, and more connected community." This is not only a criterion but also the guiding spirit throughout the journey of the non-profit project for society and the environment, initiated by high school students in Hanoi since 2018, currently involving over 12 schools.
Sharing the reasons for establishing the project, Le Gia Han, a 12th-grade Geography student at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students and Head of the Organizing Committee for the 8th season of the Clear Project, said: "What motivates us is the desire to transform Hanoi into a green city. Therefore, we are always looking for dynamic, creative members who share our desire to contribute to the community."
For the team members, inheriting the project and building on the success of previous seasons is a great motivation for them to maintain their enthusiasm and spread the spirit of environmental protection to more people.
Throughout its seven seasons, the project has left its mark with a series of meaningful activities, such as material collection sessions, recycling workshops, and environmental protection awareness campaigns.
In season 7, the project successfully organized a material collection event, gathering approximately 350kg of materials, including 150kg of paper and 200kg of glass. These materials were creatively recycled in the spirit of "turning waste into art," highlighted by mosaic paintings made from recycled glass.

This material is creatively recycled with the spirit of "turning waste into art".
Le Gia Han emphasized: "The greatest significance of the project lies not only in its positive impact on the environment or useful extracurricular activities, but also in creating a loving and united community. Each participating member deserves recognition and pride in their contribution."
This humane perspective not only helps the project maintain its sustainability but also creates a safe and warm environment for young people to freely develop. However, the journey of building a community project is never easy.
According to Gia Han, the biggest challenge is not in attracting young people to participate, but in maintaining and transforming that enthusiasm into practical action.
Entering its 8th season, the group is not only focusing on the environment but also expanding its community activities: a collection event in September 2025, a workshop in November 2025, a fundraising campaign in January 2026, and a volunteer activity combined with teaching in February 2026.
Compared to previous seasons, the number of events has doubled, meaning a larger workload and more pressure.
Gia Han and her colleagues believe this is an opportunity for them to contribute more, challenge themselves, and spread positive values to the community.
"I hope that, looking back, you will feel proud to have become useful citizens, making positive contributions to society. If there are times when you feel like giving up, remember that every action we take is a seed that will sprout, bloom, and contribute to creating a greener and more loving community."
