Hoi An welcomes 18 Italian tourists on New Year's Day

On the morning of January 1, at the Japanese Covered Bridge area, Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province welcomed the first group of visitors to visit Hoi An Ancient Town in 2025.

Leaders of Quang Nam province and Hoi An city took souvenir photos with the Italian tourist group.

Participating in welcoming the delegation were Mr. Le Van Dung, Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee and leaders of Hoi An City. Accordingly, the delegation included 18 distinguished guests from Italy participating in the tour program organized by Mien A Dong Joint Stock Company.

After the solemn welcome program, the delegation will visit Hoi An ancient town with many ancient architectural works preserved over time and experience cultural and artistic activities, demonstrations of traditional crafts typical of the locality.

Ms. Elisabetta Casiragh, a tourist from Italy, shared: "I was very touched when, on the occasion of the New Year 2025, Hoi An City organized a festival to warmly welcome us."

Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Chairman of Hoi An City People's Committee, said that Hoi An is a famous destination attracting international tourists because of its long history of development and the harmonious combination of Eastern and Western cultures.

“Hoi An City hopes that welcoming the first group of visitors in 2025 will be a symbolic activity demonstrating the warm welcome and hospitality of local people and promises to open a vibrant tourism year, attracting more domestic and international tourists to visit and experience; contributing to promoting the socio -economic development of the locality,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Son.
