Over 15,000 helmets donated to first-grade students in Dien Bien province.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do and Vice Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee Khuat Viet Hung attended the helmet donation program .

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do received a symbolic check for 15,213 helmets donated to students in Dien Bien .

The program "Donating helmets to first-grade students nationwide in the 2023-2024 school year " is jointly organized by the National Traffic Safety Committee, the Ministry of Education and Training, and Honda Vietnam Company.

Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang and other delegates presented helmets to first-grade students at Primary School No. 1 in Tuan Giao town.

In Dien Bien, the Organizing Committee, in coordination with the Provincial People's Committee and relevant units, organized the presentation of tokens of appreciation to the province and representatives of over 160 first-grade students from Primary School No. 1 in Tuan Giao town. For the 2023-2024 school year, a total of 15,213 students in Dien Bien province received helmets from the program, with Tuan Giao district receiving 1,942 helmets.

The helmet donation program , now in its fourth year, aims to cultivate the habit of wearing helmets among motorcycle users in Vietnam, thereby increasing the rate of helmet use to 100%. Through the donation of helmets, the program contributes to improving traffic safety knowledge among students and parents, and building a culture of responsible behavior when participating in traffic. Receiving the helmets donated by the program to students in Dien Bien , Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do highly appreciated the significance of the program. He also expressed confidence that the program will contribute to raising the sense of responsibility of schools , parents, and students themselves when participating in traffic using motorcycles, mopeds, and electric bicycles, and to complying with traffic safety regulations for their own safety.
