Opening of container transport route Hai Phong - Vung Ang - Hai Phong

(Baohatinh.vn) - The Hai Phong - Vung Ang - Hai Phong container transport route opens up opportunities for direct connection for businesses in Vung Ang Economic Zone in particular and Ha Tinh in general with Hai Phong international transit port by sea transport.

On the night of August 19th, the Lao-Viet International Port Joint Stock Company, in collaboration with Macstar Group, officially launched the Hai Phong - Vung Ang - Hai Phong container shipping route. The first vessel, named MACSTAR HAI PHONG, docked at Vung Ang port and loaded 222 TEU of cargo, including containers for VinFast Manufacturing and Trading Joint Stock Company's Ha Tinh branch and empty containers for transit goods from Laos.

The goal of this service route is to ensure the connection of import and export goods at existing and soon-to-be-developed industrial zones in Ha Tinh province with the Hai Phong transshipment port at competitive costs, with superior transport capacity and reduced CO2 emissions. The Hai Phong - Vung Ang - Hai Phong container route is expected to operate one trip per week.

The Hai Phong - Vung Ang - Hai Phong container shipping route opens up opportunities for direct connection between businesses in the Vung Ang Economic Zone in particular and the region in general with the Hai Phong international transshipment port via sea transport. This route is low-cost, safe, environmentally friendly, reduces pressure on road infrastructure; further enhances the attractiveness of Vung Ang Economic Zone for investment; increases income for workers; and contributes to promoting the development of the logistics and port services sector in line with the policies of Ha Tinh province.

The active cooperation between the two units opens up many opportunities for logistics development for the Vung Ang Economic Zone in particular and Ha Tinh province in general.

This event is expected to create new momentum for the Lao-Viet International Port Joint Stock Company in particular and the Vung Ang Economic Zone in general, thereby promoting investment attraction, developing logistics services in Ha Tinh, and affirming the position of Vung Ang port on the international maritime map.

The inauguration of the Hai Phong - Vung Ang - Hai Phong container route not only opens up a new direction for regional maritime transport but also affirms the increasingly important role of Vung Ang port in the international supply chain.
