“The festival was organized with the responsible and enthusiastic participation of Vietnamese businesses involved in the production, processing, and export/import of vegetables and fruits, along with a large number of Chinese customers, distributors , and consumers . This is a great honor for the Vietnam Vegetable and Fruit Association as well as the Vietnamese vegetable and fruit industry ,” Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh informed.
According to the Chairman of the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, Vietnam – a tropical country with four seasons (spring, summer, autumn, and winter) and a territory spanning over 15 latitudes – has ideal conditions for growing fruits with distinctive flavors.
Moreover, thanks to the hard work, creativity, and unwavering determination of Vietnamese farmers and businesses, the fruit and vegetable sector has become one of the fastest-growing sectors in Vietnam's agriculture .
Notably, according to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, in less than two years since the Covid-19 pandemic was brought under control (from January 2023 to the present), Vietnam's fruit and vegetable export turnover has surged. In 2023, it grew by 67% (reaching US$5.6 billion) compared to 2022, and in the first nine months of 2024, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable export turnover exceeded that of the whole year 2023, reaching US$5.74 billion.
"With these results, we predict that the export value of fruits and vegetables for the whole year of 2024 could reach over 7 billion USD," Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh stated. Mr. Binh also acknowledged that this achievement is the result of the hard work of many people, first and foremost the farmers who toil day and night in the fields, gardens, and farms to produce high-quality and safe products that satisfy consumers.
Next are the courageous business owners, factory workers, and entrepreneurs who dare to think outside the box, take risks, and bring high-quality, unique Vietnamese fruits and vegetables to consumers worldwide .
In particular, according to the Chairman of the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, this achievement would not have been possible without the significant role of the Party and State leaders in guiding, leading, paving the way, creating conditions, and supporting producers and businesses to develop.
The Vietnam Fruit Festival in Beijing is the clearest evidence of the solidarity and support for businesses and people from the Government leaders, the leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the diplomatic, trade, and media agencies of Vietnam; it is the effort of all levels and sectors in creating conditions to support the opening of the market for the Vietnamese fruit and vegetable industry, and to support connecting Vietnamese farmers and businesses with reliable partners and consumers in China.
According to the Chairman of the Association, Nguyen Thanh Binh, with the theme "Vietnamese Fruits - Delicious in All Seasons," the Vietnamese Fruit Festival in Beijing, China, will be one of the important trade promotion events for fresh fruits and vegetables and processed products made from fruits and vegetables that have been officially allowed to be imported into the Chinese market.
This will be a good opportunity for Vietnamese producers and suppliers to introduce and promote their brands and the image of their typical fruit products, as well as to find customers and strengthen trade activities.

This event will lay the groundwork and provide experience for organizing more regular specialized festivals not only in Beijing but also in the central and northern regions of China, aiming to connect and expand Vietnamese fruit exports to this market.
