According to the reporter of Giao thong Newspaper, from the intersection of DT717 road (Da Kai commune) to the end of the route, many sections have been completely paved.

At the two bridges Da Kai 1 and Da Kai 2 located on the border of Tan Phu district ( Dong Nai ), many groups of workers are constructing bored piles and building flood-proof walls.

Engineer Le Van Hai, project technical staff, said that the construction site passes through the communes of Da Kai, Sung Nhon and Me Pu (Duc Linh district), many construction sites are working through the September 2nd holiday.

Up to now, the contractor has basically completed the longitudinal drainage system and paved more than 10km/14.5km of road to the border of Dong Nai province.

"In recent days, the weather has been unfavorable, with floodwaters from upstream flowing through the La Nga River basin, hindering the construction progress of the two Da Kai bridges. The contractor had to build a retaining wall to prevent floodwaters, causing erosion of the bridge under construction," said engineer Hai.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Hai, Project Executive Director of Viet Hoa Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company - the contractor, said that after nearly 9 months of construction, the contractor has paved more than 80% of the main road surface.

"The project is expected to be completed in November 2025. We aim to finish the project earlier, several months ahead of schedule," said Mr. Hai.

The Me Pu - Da Kai route has been seriously degraded for many years, but has now been upgraded and paved with new asphalt.

According to the Binh Thuan Province Traffic Project Management Board (investor), the investment project to upgrade and expand Me Pu - Da Kai road is about 14.5km long.

Roadbed width 9m, road surface width 8m, sidewalk width on each side 0.5m.

On the route, two new bridges are being built: Da Kai 1 at Km 7+700 and Da Kai 2 at Km 8+510 with reinforced concrete, bridge width 12m. Total investment capital is over 132 billion VND. Contract implementation time is 730 days.

The advantage of the project is that the area of land clearance is small, and it is highly supported by people living along the road. The contractor can bring equipment and machinery to the construction site immediately, and can proactively manage the construction time.
