Nho Quan district leaders visit to encourage production in early Spring of Giap Thin 2024

On February 19th, the People's Committee of Nho Quan district organized visits to encourage officials, employees, and workers at several units, enterprises, and construction sites in the area.

Comrade Dang Xuan Nguyen, Provincial Party Committee member and Secretary of the District Party Committee, led the delegation. Accompanying him were members of the District Party Committee Standing Committee, leaders of the District People's Council, District People's Committee, District Fatherland Front Committee, and representatives from various specialized departments and agencies.

The delegation visited and encouraged the Phu Son Agricultural Cooperative (Phu Son commune) - a unit currently implementing a model for growing bottle gourd pumpkins. The model, which started in 2023 with an area of 12 hectares, has initially shown clear effectiveness, with a yield of 50 tons/ha, an annual production of nearly 600 tons, and total revenue exceeding 1.4 billion VND, 3.5 times higher than rice cultivation.

The delegation visited the staff and workers at the HKB Paper Mill in Hoa Lu, Van Phong Industrial Cluster. The mill, which began operations in 2023, has a total finished paper output of nearly 72,000 tons. Approximately 75% of HKB's products are exported. Currently, the mill employs over 200 workers with salaries ranging from 7 to 12 million VND per person per month.

During a visit to the Nho Quan District Public Administration Center, the District Party Secretary and the delegation listened to a report from the investor on the progress of the project to build a new headquarters for the district's reception and results delivery department. The project, with a scale of 2 floors and a construction area of ^351m² , includes the design and installation of new equipment, interior furnishings, and auxiliary items. The project commenced on March 27, 2023, and to date, the construction is basically complete, exceeding the contract schedule by 6 months.

The project to upgrade the left embankment of the Ben Dang River, from Quynh Bridge to Ben Nhay Bridge, includes: a main route with a length of 2,482m combining internal traffic; a branch road connecting the existing residential area to the left embankment of the Ben Dang River with a length of 125m; 5 box culverts on the embankment and 2 circular culverts on the branch road, with the culverts constructed of reinforced concrete.

The project commenced in December 2023 and has now completed 80% of the earth embankment work for the dike expansion, with the construction of 2 out of 5 culverts along the dike line largely finished. Taking advantage of the sunny weather, the contractor mobilized maximum manpower and machinery to resume construction immediately after the Lunar New Year holiday.

The delegation visited and encouraged the contractors and workers currently constructing the Năm Căn dike upgrade project (section from Sui Bridge to Cúc Phương tourist road), which combines transportation, tourism development, disaster prevention, and protection of residential areas in 5 communes and Nho Quan town. The project's investment scale includes: upgrading the Năm Căn dike section from the foot of Yên Quang Lake (intersecting with Cúc Phương tourist road) to National Highway 12B, with a length of over 2.9 km; and upgrading and expanding a local road with its starting point at the intersection with Cúc Phương tourist road and its end point at the East-West road intersection, with a length of 0.56 km.

Here, the contractor started work right from the 4th day of the Lunar New Year to ensure the set progress. To date, they have completed 1.54km/3.66km of the crushed stone base layer (Type 1, reinforced with 5% cement); 0.99km of reinforced embankment on the right side of the route; completed 2/4 culverts and the entire restoration of the irrigation canal and drainage ditch in the residential area.

During his visits, the Secretary of the Nho Quan District Party Committee acknowledged the efforts to overcome difficulties, the dynamism, and the creativity in production and business of the leadership and workers at the units and enterprises, especially in the context of an economy still facing many difficulties and challenges.

This will contribute to the economic development, job creation, and social security of the locality. The comrade also expressed his hope that units and businesses in the area would make greater efforts and implement solutions for further development, while also focusing on implementing policies and regulations to care for workers, effectively protecting the environment, and striving to achieve and surpass the production and business targets and plans set for 2024.

The District Party Secretary emphasized: The locality always pays attention to and creates favorable conditions for businesses to develop, and will always accompany and support businesses in overcoming difficulties and obstacles so that businesses can confidently invest in production and business, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the locality.

At the same time, we will continue to implement the directives of the Government, central ministries and agencies; the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee on gradually building and perfecting infrastructure, creating a solid foundation for socio-economic development, and striving together with localities in the province to successfully achieve the goals set out in the Resolution of the 22nd Provincial Party Congress.
