The fireworks season brings many new features.
DIFF 2025 is the longest and largest fireworks display in the history of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, with 6 nights of performances and the participation of 10 fireworks teams from 9 countries across three different continents.
Notably, this is the first time the festival has featured two Vietnamese teams: Da Nang and Chemical Company 21.
The remaining eight teams, in addition to familiar names like Finland, Poland, China, Canada, Italy, and England, include two teams from South Korea and Portugal participating in DIFF for the first time.
DIFF 2025 will have 6 official competition nights, each with a different and unique theme:
Night 1 (May 31st): “Cultural Quintessence” - Vietnam 1 (Da Nang) and Finland.
Night 2 (June 7): “Creative Art” - Vietnam 2 (Z121) and Poland.
Night 3 (June 14): “A Journey of Connection” - Canada and China.
Night 4 (June 21): “Sustainable Development” - Portugal and England.
Night 5 (June 28): “Technology Leads the Way” - South Korea and Italy.
The final night (July 12): “Welcoming a new era” - Vietnam and China.
"No other country has as many as 10 fireworks teams competing at the same time. I believe it's entirely possible to propose that DIFF 2025 be included in the Guinness Book of Records," affirmed Nadia Shakira Wong, CEO of Global 2000, a leading global fireworks consulting company.
High prize values, a prestigious brand, and ever-improving quality have made DIFF a "world-class playground" for international fireworks artists. At the same time, the event has also contributed to attracting the attention of global media, helping Da Nang become a bright spot on the world event map.

This year, DIFF not only features impressive fireworks displays but also offers visitors top-notch experiences with a combination of art, music , and technological innovation.
Each night of the competition is a vibrant live concert featuring famous domestic and international artists and music idols, combining fireworks, music, and modern technology to provide visitors with experiences beyond expectations.
In particular, AR technology is integrated into the Sun Paradise Land (SPL) application, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in a world of unlimited imagination and creativity with the fireworks display in Da Nang, creating a powerful and widespread impact.
The stage for the show is designed to be open, twice as wide as in 2024, making it one of the most spectacular stages in the 17-year history of the Da Nang Fireworks Festival.
Mr. Huynh Nam Thang, Vice Chairman and General Director of Sun Group Central Region, said that DIFF 2025, with the theme "Da Nang - A New Era," has a main stage designed as a symbol affirming that spirit.
The stage is inspired by Da Nang's distinctive natural beauty, recreating the majestic image of the Marble Mountains alongside the ocean, with a shining gem at the center as a symbol of the city's strong aspiration for progress and continuous innovation. The image of mountains and rivers also represents harmony and unity, in line with the message of a "new era" that DIFF 2025 aims to convey to residents and tourists.
A special attraction for locals and tourists.
Every night, the grandstand with over 10,000 seats is packed with people, and every street along the Han River is always crowded on nights with fireworks displays.
Ms. Ngo Yen (Hai Chau ward, Da Nang city) said that she never missed a single fireworks display. On the final night, in addition to the spectacular fireworks show by the two teams, guests also enjoyed magnificent performances by many top-name singers such as Tung Duong, My Tam, and Huong Tram, along with hundreds of artists and dancers from renowned dance troupes. She was impressed with the floating stage and the elaborately invested sound and lighting system, which kept the audience constantly buzzing with excitement.
Mr. Hoang Thien Phuoc (from Hue City) expressed: "It's impressive and a source of pride that after 17 years of organizing, the host team Vietnam has reached the finals for the first time and won the runner-up title, so we were very excited and eagerly awaited the event. Finally, we were treated to a spectacular and overwhelming performance when the song 'Aspiration for Peace' was played amidst a barrage of fireworks filling the sky. The performance reached its climax when the heroic anthem 'The Spirit of Vietnam' rang out, followed by a dazzling display of red and gold, like the national flag fluttering in the night sky."
John Tim (a tourist from Canada) shared that this was his second time visiting Da Nang, and this return was particularly exciting because it coincided with the fireworks festival. “The first time I saw the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition was also the first time I witnessed the Han River brilliantly illuminated. Da Nang is a modern and civilized city, with friendly and hospitable people. This was probably my best vacation, and I will definitely return and tell my friends about this city,” John Tim enthusiastically said.
Ambassador Marcos A. Bednarski of the Republic of Argentina to Vietnam commented: “International events like DIFF help to bring the image of Da Nang and Vietnam to the world. In my opinion, Da Nang is one of the leading localities in organizing unique cultural festivals.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Sandeep Arya, the Indian Ambassador to Vietnam, said: “I believe DIFF is becoming a major attraction for international tourists, including Indians. I attended the fireworks festival last year and felt the development in both the quality and scale of the event.”
The Jiangxi Yangfeng team (China) was crowned champion of DIFF 2025.
Following an exciting competition in the final night, the Jiangxi Yangfeng team (China) won the DIFF 2025 championship with a prize of 20,000 USD, while the Z121 Vina Pyrotech team (Vietnam) came in second with a prize of 10,000 USD.
Mr. Liang Weiming, the captain of the Chinese team, emotionally shared: “This is a fantastic result. We feel incredibly proud that after days of hard work and effort, we have achieved the results we hoped for. This award is especially significant and serves as a great motivation for us to continue striving in future DIFF competitions as well as in our journey of pursuing and creating fireworks art.”
According to musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, President of the Vietnam Musicians Association and a member of the judging panel, Vietnam's first-time participation in the finals was something that moved everyone. Despite it being their first time, the home team performed in no way inferior to the fireworks powerhouses.
In addition to the two main prizes, the organizers also awarded three supplementary prizes: the "Innovation" award to the Macedos Pirotecnia team from Portugal; the Da Nang fireworks team received the "Audience Favorite" award; and the Martarello Group SLR fireworks team representing Italy received the "Promising" award. Each prize was worth 5,000 USD.
Quickly restore the environment to a clean state after the fireworks finale.
On July 13th, the Da Nang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company announced that the final night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025 generated a very large amount of waste on the streets, sidewalks, bridges, grandstands, etc.
The company mobilized 200 workers and 5 garbage trucks to coordinate with volunteers, students, police, border guards, etc., to participate in sweeping and collecting garbage, quickly restoring clean streets, sidewalks, bridges, etc., by 1:30 AM on July 13th.
A total of 43.63 tons of waste were collected and transported to the two waste transfer stations on Le Thanh Nghi Street and in the Son Tra area. Prior to this, the company mobilized water trucks to clean the streets, provided water, and deployed workers to maintain hygiene at 66 mobile toilets. They also arranged over 200 large-capacity waste containers in convenient locations...
