VHO - Lionel Messi rediscovered his goal-scoring form with two goals that helped Inter Miami come from behind to win.

Following their bitter 0-3 defeat to FC Cincinnati earlier in the week, Inter Miami and Lionel Messi made an impressive comeback, crushing New York Red Bulls 5-1 at Sports Illustrated Stadium.

Despite falling behind early when Alexander Hack scored the opening goal for Red Bulls in the 14th minute, Messi quickly proved his class with a brilliant performance that helped Miami stage a convincing comeback.

In the 24th minute, the Argentinian superstar provided a superb assist for Jordi Alba (his former Barcelona teammate) to score the equalizer. Just three minutes later, Messi combined with Alba again to set up Telasco Segovia, who finished accurately to put Inter Miami ahead 2-1.

Just before the end of the first half, Segovia continued to impress with a brace, giving the visitors a 3-1 lead going into halftime.

The second half saw Inter Miami completely dominate, with Lionel Messi being the highlight. In the 60th minute, from a beautiful long pass by Sergio Busquets (another familiar teammate from his time at Barcelona), Messi broke free, dribbled past goalkeeper Carlos Coronel, and coolly finished to make the score 4-1.

But the action didn't stop there. In the 75th minute, Luis Suarez, also a Barcelona veteran, delivered a precise cross from the left wing for Messi to control neatly and unleash a thunderous shot, sealing a 5-1 victory for Inter Miami.

This match not only marked a strong resurgence for Inter Miami but also confirmed Messi's top form as he contributed two goals and two assists, a vivid testament to the power of the former Barcelona trio in Inter Miami's pink jersey.
