After a bitter 0-3 defeat to FC Cincinnati in midweek, Inter Miami and Lionel Messi made an impressive comeback by crushing the New York Red Bulls 5-1 at Sports Illustrated Stadium.

Despite falling behind early on when Alexander Hack opened the scoring for the Red Bulls in the 14th minute, Messi quickly proved his class with a brilliant performance to help Miami make a convincing comeback.

In the 24th minute, the Argentine superstar made a classy assist for Jordi Alba (his former teammate at Barcelona) to score the equalizer. Just 3 minutes later, Messi coordinated with Alba to assist Telasco Segovia with an accurate shot, putting Inter Miami ahead 2-1.

Just before half-time, Segovia continued to make his mark with a double of his own, helping the visitors enter the break with a 3-1 lead.

The second half witnessed the complete dominance of Inter Miami with the highlight being Lionel Messi. In the 60th minute, from a beautiful long pass from Sergio Busquets (another familiar teammate from Barcelona), Messi broke through, dribbled past goalkeeper Carlos Coronel and coolly finished to increase the score to 4-1.
