Bao Ngu's real name is Nguyen My Tinh. Her family has been in the arts for five generations. Bao Ngu's great-grandfather was composer and Cai Luong artist Huynh Thu Trung (Tu Choi); her great-grandfather was artist Huynh Hieu, known as the "King of Indochina Drums"; her paternal uncle is musician Huu Thanh, who studies Vietnamese folk music. Bao Ngu's father, musician Yen Lam, won two Green Wave Awards and is currently collaborating with many music production companies.

Since the age of 3, with the support of her family, Bao Ngu had her first song, and then continuously released many albums of songs that were at the forefront of children's music trends. Bong Bong Bang Bang, Xuc Xac Xuc Xe, Bac Kim Thang, Lien Khuc Nhung Con Vat Deu Adorable, Nhong Nhong Nhong, Co Ba Sai Gon, Ngay Mai ... are all MVs covering songs with "million views" by Bao Ngu.
