Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, Le Duc Tien, has just signed and issued the plan for the 2025 Traffic Safety Year with the theme "Safe Journey, Building the Future".

The plan aims to raise awareness and promote compliance with traffic laws among road users, and to build a safe traffic culture. It strives to reduce the number of traffic accidents, deaths, and injuries by over 5% compared to 2024; focusing on ensuring the security, safety, health, lives, and property of the people; and addressing traffic congestion.
The key tasks to be focused on include improving the capacity, effectiveness, and efficiency of management and operation in ensuring traffic safety by functional forces and units, especially in patrolling, controlling, and handling traffic violations.
Ensuring the progress and quality of key projects; effectively managing the safety corridors of roads, railways, and inland waterways; promptly addressing and repairing locations and sections of roads with potential traffic safety risks; and continuing to eliminate unauthorized crossings over railways.
Innovate the content and methods of disseminating and educating the public about traffic laws in a way that is easy to understand, easy to absorb, and suitable for each region, area, locality, age group, religion, especially young people, students, etc., in order to create a strong shift in awareness and actions of all levels, sectors, and people in ensuring traffic safety and order.
Enhance the capacity for rescue, relief, victim treatment, and recovery from traffic accidents; improve the first aid capacity for traffic accidents among village and commune health workers and health station staff; and improve the professional capacity, facilities, and equipment of district-level hospitals and health centers to ensure access to accident scenes and treatment of injuries to traffic accident victims.
