Prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights

The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just issued an official dispatch requesting departments, branches, sectors, and People's Committees of wards and communes, according to their functions and tasks, to continue to seriously and effectively implement the directives of the Government and the Prime Minister on strengthening the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the new situation.

Specifically, the City People's Committee requested to perform well the work of managing the area, step up the work of inspecting and supervising the production, business and import of goods, especially for medicines and food products, regularly and continuously with the spirit of "working day, working night, working extra on holidays" to promptly detect and strictly handle violators, with the motto "handling one case, warning the whole region, the whole field", "no forbidden areas, no exceptions".

In particular, resolutely prevent, combat, stop and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, infringement of intellectual property rights, especially strictly and thoroughly handling counterfeit drugs and fake foods to protect the health, lives, rights and legitimate interests of people and businesses; and protect security and health safety for the people.

Identifying the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property rights infringement as a key, long-term, and regular task, requires continued mobilization of the entire political system, people, and businesses.
