Kim Son District Propaganda Department promotes its pioneering role

Milestones in information and communication work.

Over the past two years, the Propaganda Department of Kim Son district has done a good job in disseminating information and propaganda, especially regarding the district's political tasks.

This includes focusing on disseminating information about Party building tasks, socio-economic development, breakthroughs, programs, plans, and projects of the district. It also focuses on promoting the sustainable development orientation of the marine economy in accordance with Resolution No. 11 of the Provincial Party Committee; the results of the new rural development program and the ceremony announcing the district's achievement of new rural standards; and the reorganization of administrative units...

A highlight was the publicity campaign for the ceremony announcing Kim Son district's achievement of the new rural standard on November 18, 2023. The Propaganda Department of the Kim Son District Party Committee advised the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee to establish a propaganda subcommittee, develop a plan and specific, detailed guidelines for the publicity campaign; and simultaneously strengthen the supervision and inspection of the district's departments and localities in implementing the plan. This contributed to the success of the ceremony, which was met with great enthusiasm and pride among officials, Party members, and the people regarding the district's new rural development achievements. Over 12,000 people attended, and thousands watched the live broadcast on Ninh Binh Radio and Television, as well as on Facebook, Zalo, YouTube, and the district's official fan page, with many positive comments.

Entering 2024, the Propaganda Department of Kim Son district focused on disseminating information and promoting the policy of reorganizing district and commune-level administrative units. According to the plan, four units in Kim Son district will undergo reorganization: Luu Phuong commune, Kim Hai commune, Phat Diem town, and Binh Minh town. Recognizing this as a crucial political task, the Kim Son district Propaganda Department has focused on extensively disseminating information to cadres, Party members, and all segments of the population to ensure a clear understanding of the purpose and significance of the policy. In addition, they actively monitored public opinion and the legitimate aspirations of the people to promptly disseminate information, mobilize support, and provide explanations.

Therefore, when conducting a survey of nearly 18,000 voters in 4 communes and towns on the content of the plan for rearranging commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period, 99.45% of voters approved; demonstrating the solidarity and consensus of the people with the policies of the Party, the State, the province and the district.

Comrade Vu Thi Thu Thuy, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of Kim Son District Party Committee, said: The content and form of propaganda by the district's Propaganda Department are increasingly innovative, combining oral propaganda, the radio broadcasting system with propaganda on social networks such as Facebook, Zalo, the district's electronic information pages, and those of communes and towns... At the same time, actively coordinating with central and local press agencies to build special pages and content for rich, timely, and high-quality propaganda.

The information and propaganda work of the district's Propaganda Department has contributed to educating about revolutionary traditions, arousing and spreading love for the homeland and country, and national pride and self-respect. Cadres, Party members, and people from all walks of life are enthusiastic, confident, and comply well with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and local movements.

Improving the quality of the workforce at the grassroots level.

Besides its outstanding achievements in information and propaganda work, the Propaganda Department of Kim Son district has also comprehensively carried out all its tasks.

Accordingly, the Propaganda Department of the District Party Committee has actively advised on innovating and improving the quality of studying, understanding, and implementing the resolutions, directives, and conclusions of the Party; promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style in conjunction with implementing the annual work theme of the Provincial and District Party Committees; protecting the Party's ideological foundation and combating erroneous and hostile viewpoints; and carrying out scientific and educational work...

To successfully and comprehensively fulfill its assigned tasks, one of the key solutions that the Propaganda Department of Kim Son district focuses on is consolidating and improving the quality of its team of speakers and those working in propaganda at the grassroots level.

The district's team of reporters and public opinion collaborators is regularly strengthened. Currently, the entire district has more than 50 reporters and public opinion collaborators. Monthly meetings of reporters and public opinion collaborators are held alternately in the communes and towns. This allows for timely monitoring of the ideological situation and public opinion among cadres, Party members, and the people; compiling monthly reports; and advising and proposing solutions to the District Party Committee Standing Committee, the District People's Committee, and relevant departments to address issues of public concern.

In addition, the 25 Party Propaganda Departments of the communes and towns in the district are regularly strengthened and their operational quality and effectiveness are improved. Comrade Truong Minh Thien, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Dong Huong commune and Head of the Party Propaganda Department of the commune, said: The Party Propaganda Department of the commune has 8 members, including officials from the Party Committee, the Fatherland Front, and other political and social organizations, carrying out propaganda tasks at the grassroots level.

Every year, we participate in at least two professional training courses organized by the province and district, with practical content on skills in propaganda and mobilization of the people and religious communities, and techniques for combating false and hostile viewpoints on the Internet and social media... This contributes to raising awareness, responsibility, skills, and methods for members of the Propaganda Department of the commune Party Committee.

Given that 33% of the population in Dong Huong commune adheres to a religion, one of the key factors is maintaining close ties with religious leaders and officials, which facilitates the dissemination of information and encourages the people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, as well as the laws of the State.

The achievements of the Propaganda Department of Kim Son district have contributed to maintaining political stability, strengthening the trust of cadres, Party members, and the people in the leadership of the Party and the management and administration of the government at all levels; creating social consensus, and contributing to the successful completion of the tasks of Party building and socio-economic development of Kim Son district.
