Recently, people living in Thanh Thuan quarter, Thanh Dien ward, Tay Ninh province have repeatedly petitioned local authorities and functional agencies about the production activities of Kornbest Vietnam Co., Ltd. affecting their lives.

Kornbest Vietnam Co., Ltd specializes in wood processing and manufacturing. The company's production activities, especially at night, cause noise and vibration from machinery; the company discharges exhaust fumes that cause unpleasant odors; and the company's wastewater shows signs of pollution such as being black and having a foul odor.

The head of Thanh Thuan neighborhood (Thanh Dien ward) pointed to the water source from the Company flowing onto the roadside, which was pitch black and smelled bad.

Thanh Thuan Ward Chief Tran Phi Hung said that the company's wastewater flows past people's houses and gives off a foul smell, making people upset.

Local people petitioned the competent authorities to clarify whether the company's discharge of smoke and wastewater into the environment meets environmental protection standards according to legal regulations or not. If not, it needs to be strictly handled.

It is known that the Economic Police Department of the Provincial Police has taken samples of the Company's wastewater discharged into the environment, sent them for testing and is waiting for the results to serve as a basis for submission to the competent authority for handling in the coming time./.
