Cause of the horrific crash between two trucks on the highway, killing two people

(NLDO)- Driving in the wrong lane, head-on collision with another truck on the highway, 30-year-old driver and assistant died


On the evening of December 4, the Traffic Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) informed about the cause of the accident on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway that killed 2 people on the same afternoon.

Accordingly, at around 1:00 p.m. on the same day, December 4, at Km 189+100 in Chau Que Thuong commune (Van Yen district, Yen Bai province), a truck with license plate 29H-790.XX traveling from Lao Cai to Noi Bai was driven by HHG (born in 1994, residing in Soc Son district, Hanoi), the person sitting in the passenger seat was NTN (born in 2004). Here, the truck collided with a car with license plate 21H-008.XX traveling from Noi Bai to Lao Cai driven by D.VC (born in 1990, residing in Van Yen district, Yen Bai), the person sitting in the passenger seat was CTA (born in 1984).

The accident killed HHG and NTN on the spot, and injured two others. Two cars were damaged, with estimated material damage of about 200 million VND.

The initial preliminary cause was that HHG drove in the wrong lane, causing the accident.

Immediately after the accident occurred, the traffic police force of the Traffic Police Department coordinated with the investigation agency of Van Yen District Police to handle the case according to regulations.

The accident happened on a highway with only 2 lanes and no hard divider.
