Social media users are sharing images of the principal of Quang Vinh Primary School (Trung Khanh district, Cao Bang province) swimming into the school to check on the situation as it is deeply flooded.

The image, after being shared widely, received thousands of comments and shares, expressing admiration for the dedication of the teachers in their journey of spreading knowledge in the mountainous and border regions.
On the morning of August 28th, speaking with a VietNamNet reporter, Mr. Hoang Van Viet, the principal of Quang Vinh Primary School, said he was very surprised to see images of his visit to the school being widely shared on social media.
Mr. Viet shared that the photo was taken on August 24th. At that time, floodwaters began to inundate the school. Seeing the rising floodwaters, and worried about the school's facilities being swept away, Mr. Viet decided to swim into the school to check on the condition of the equipment and supplies.
"Currently, the water has started to recede slowly, however, the school is still flooded to a depth of about 3 meters. For the past few days, the entire school administration, staff, and teachers have been on standby in the area near the school," Mr. Viet said.
Mr. Hoang Van Dong, Head of the Education and Training Department of Trung Khanh district, said: "To ensure adequate facilities for the new school year, the district's Education and Training Department has coordinated with relevant units to assign personnel to be on duty at the schools."
At the same time, once the floodwaters recede, we will mobilize more staff and teachers from neighboring schools to help clean up the school, ensuring students can study with peace of mind."
