Multi-object and multi-value aquaculture

Implementing the Prime Minister's telegram on ensuring production, consumption and export of aquatic products in the context of global trade fluctuations, Lam Dong province focuses on reviewing and adjusting the aquaculture stocking schedule towards multi-value and multi-object orientation, meeting the GRDP growth target of the province as well as the agricultural and environmental sectors in the last months of 2025.

Lam Dong province encourages the farming of native and endemic aquatic species in reservoirs to protect biodiversity.

Accordingly, relevant departments, branches and localities in the province will strengthen environmental monitoring and warning in concentrated aquaculture areas; proactively prevent, respond to and overcome consequences of natural disasters occurring during the 2025 rainy and stormy season; closely inspect, monitor and promptly handle aquatic diseases.

Based on the advantages of the locality, Lam Dong continues to stabilize the production of key aquatic products. Specifically, focusing on developing the farming of black tiger shrimp and white-leg shrimp in brackish water according to the industrial model, high-density intensive farming; offshore farming of sea bass, yellowfin pomfret, and cobia towards sustainable livelihoods and environmental protection; farming of native and endemic aquatic species in reservoirs to protect biodiversity...

With the solution of seafood production according to the value chain, Lam Dong strengthens cooperation between industry associations, enterprises, cooperatives, farming households and farming areas according to the principle of "linking, cooperating, taking people as the center". Thereby, guiding businesses and seafood farmers to apply digital transformation, access advanced science and technology to develop green, organic, circular and sustainable production models to reduce costs, improve productivity, quality and product value.

Lam Dong province also encourages investment in deep processing of aquatic products, promotes purchasing and temporary storage of raw materials during peak seasons, expands the distribution network for domestic consumption of products and exports to emerging markets with growth potential such as the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, South America, etc.
