On August 15, the 10th Congress of the Farmers' Association of Hau Giang province, term 2023 - 2028, elected 29 delegates to the new Executive Committee.

Speaking at the opening of the congress, Mr. Vo Van Trung, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Hau Giang province, said: During the past term, under the impact of the world situation and the severe consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, climate change, natural disasters, storms and floods, etc., our country's socio -economy has faced many difficulties and major challenges. Most sectors and fields have been seriously affected, especially in the fields of life and agricultural production.
With the attention and leadership of the Central Standing Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union , the close direction of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the coordination of provincial departments, branches and sectors; local Party Committees, People's Committees and sectors, the Associations at all levels have been active, united, proactive, creative, achieved and exceeded the targets of the Resolution on the Association's work and the annual farmers' movement, contributing to the completion of 12/12 targets of the Resolution set by the 9th Congress of Delegates of the Hau Giang Provincial Farmers' Union (term 2018 - 2023).
The 10th Congress of the Farmers' Association of Hau Giang province demonstrated the determination of cadres and members of the farmers' association in the whole province, striving to develop the Association's work and the farmers' movement, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress.

Speaking at the congress, Ms. Cao Xuan Thu Van, Vice President of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union congratulated, acknowledged and commended the results and achievements that the Hau Giang Farmers' Union had achieved in the past term.
According to Ms. Cao Xuan Thu Van, the Farmers' Association at all levels of Hau Giang province needs to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, do a good job of propaganda, education and mobilization, and unite farmers to truly become a revolutionary force, a large and strong economic, political and social force of the province. Coordinate with all levels and sectors in the province to strengthen vocational training and improve all aspects of farmers' qualifications.
The Provincial Farmers' Association needs to actively build and strengthen the organization to meet the requirements of mobilizing farmers in the new situation. It is necessary to closely follow the reality of life, based on the resolutions and directives of the Party; policies and laws of the State, and the guidelines, policies and plans for socio-economic development of the province, on the basis of its functions and tasks, to find appropriate and effective ways of doing things...
Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Secretary of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee, emphasized and suggested a number of issues for the Congress to discuss, consider and decide: All levels of the Association need to promote propaganda and education to raise awareness for cadres and farmer members about the Party's policies and the State's laws and policies, focusing on Resolution No. 19 of the Central Executive Committee; Program No. 50 of the Provincial Party Committee to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party and the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025 and Resolution No. 04 of the Provincial Party Committee on industrial, agricultural, urban and tourism development in Hau Giang province, period 2021 - 2025 and the following years...
The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Hau Giang Provincial Farmers' Association, term X, 2023 - 2028, consisting of 29 delegates.
At the first working session, the Executive Committee elected a Standing Committee of 8 comrades, of which Mr. Vo Van Trung was re-elected as Chairman of the Hau Giang Provincial Farmers' Association, term X; Ms. Huynh Thi Ngoc Huong and Mr. Pham Thanh Hoai were re-elected as Vice Chairmen of the Hau Giang Provincial Farmers' Association, term X, 2023 - 2028.
