According to Decision No. 2198/QD-TTg dated December 25, 2021, of the Prime Minister , the Gia Phu Bronze Drum was recognized as a national treasure (10th batch).
To promote the value of national treasures, Lao Cai province, in collaboration with researchers and experts, has implemented various professional measures to incorporate experiential activities for students in history and culture education programs, such as recreating and redrawing the detailed patterns of the Gia Phu drum and the Pha Long drum.

At the same time, it will be used in the design of art displays and exhibitions within the province.
Restoring and creating replicas of the Pha Long bronze drum for display purposes.
In addition, research and development are linked to education with specific activities such as: making small-sized replicas of drum faces for practice in stamping and drawing, and exploring the value of Pha Long bronze drums in the lives of people during the Dong Son period as part of the local history and culture education program at the Museum.
Research and develop souvenir products such as display plates, desk paperweights, keychains, leaflets, etc., from materials such as copper, mica, glass, and paper.
National treasures are artifacts that possess great historical, cultural, and artistic value to the nation. From 2012 to the present, the Prime Minister has recognized 294 national treasures on 12 occasions.
