Promoting the tradition of solidarity and building a strong Trade Union

Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Committee; former leaders of Ha Giang province (before the merger) through the periods; leaders of the provincial departments, branches and sectors; leaders of the Labor Federations of Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Lao Cai provinces and 148 official delegates representing over 34,000 union members in the whole province.

Many outstanding results

The whole province currently has over 34,000 union members and workers. In the period 2020-2025, trade unions at all levels visited and supported union members and workers in difficult circumstances, those who had work-related accidents, those affected by natural disasters, storms, floods, and risks with a total amount of 33.9 billion VND; supported nearly 60,000 gifts for union members and workers in difficult circumstances, worth over 42.1 billion VND; welcomed nearly 400 workers working outside the province to return home for Tet; the "Union Tet Market" program supported discount vouchers for over 8,300 union members with a total support amount of 3.52 billion VND.

At the same time, trade unions at all levels in the province participated in supporting union members' families, poor households, and near-poor households to build and repair houses with nearly 13,000 working days; 203 union members and workers in difficult circumstances received housing support with a total cost of 7.03 billion VND. The "Union Meal" program benefited over 23,000 union members and workers, with a total implementation value of over 1.25 billion VND. In the period of 2023 - 2025, the whole province has established 61 grassroots unions and recruited 11,984 new union members.

With the goal of "Promoting the tradition of solidarity, innovation and creativity; building a strong and comprehensive Trade Union organization, joining hands to build Tuyen Quang province to develop and rise in the new era", the Congress set out 12 key tasks and 3 breakthroughs; including a number of specific targets such as: Increasing the number of union members by 1,000 each year. By the end of the term, there will be 6,500 or more initiatives of union members and employees applied in production, business and work; striving to have 90% or more of union members and 85% of workers and employees in enterprises being propagandized, disseminated, studied and thoroughly grasped the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's policies and laws related to labor and trade unions...

A solid support for union members and workers

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, highly appreciated the good, creative and effective models that trade unions at all levels in the province have deployed. He requested that the provincial Trade Union continue to strongly innovate the content and form of propaganda and political and ideological education; build a team of workers with strong political will, industrial style, labor discipline, and high skills. Promote the strong and extensive application of information technology in trade union activities. Improve the effectiveness of patriotic emulation movements; discover, foster and replicate good models and good initiatives; focus on key movements such as "Good workers, creative workers". Actively participate in building a clean and strong Party and government; do a good job of discovering, fostering and introducing outstanding union members to the Party.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Le Thi Kim Dung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, acknowledged and commended the achievements of all workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union organizations at all levels during the past term. She also shared the difficulties with trade unions at all levels affected after the merger and implementation of two-level local government. Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Thi Kim Dung requested: Trade unions at all levels need to continue to innovate their activities, focus on the grassroots, take union members and workers as the center, listen to their thoughts and aspirations and represent and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members. Step up propaganda work, improve political awareness, qualifications and skills for union members and workers. Focus on building a strong trade union organization in all aspects, expanding union membership, especially in non-state enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises. In particular, after the merger, the province's labor force increased, so the trade union organization needs to quickly complete the apparatus and make reasonable arrangements to ensure ideological stability for union officials and members.

Promote the development of new union members, strive to establish grassroots unions in all enterprises without unions. Focus on training and fostering a team of grassroots union officials with sufficient capacity, enthusiasm, understanding of the law and skills to operate in a new context, creating breakthroughs throughout the term. The union needs to continue to perform well the functions of supervision and social criticism according to Decisions 217 and 218 of the Politburo; at the same time, participate in giving opinions to build a clean and strong Party and government. Promote the patriotic emulation movement among workers, civil servants and laborers, associated with the implementation of the province's socio-economic development goals. From there, build a truly strong and comprehensive trade union organization in Tuyen Quang province, operating professionally and effectively, becoming a reliable support and pride of union members and laborers, creating new and different marks, contributing to the rapid and sustainable development of Tuyen Quang province, rising up in the new era.

Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Thi Kim Dung presented flowers to congratulate the Executive Committee of the Provincial Confederation of Labor for the 2025 - 2030 term.

At the Congress, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor announced the decision to appoint 21 comrades to participate in the new Executive Committee, appoint the Standing Committee, the Inspection Committee; appoint the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman; and appoint 9 delegates to attend the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union. Comrade Trieu Tai Phong was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Labor Confederation, term I, 2025-2030.
