According to actress Nguyen Thao, in the scene where she drove out of the warehouse, she was carrying actors Quang Tuan, Hoang Toc Dai and Ma Ran Do. The car was carrying 200kg and was going very fast, even at the cut point, she didn’t have time to brake. Nguyen Thao had to try to drag the wheels and turn the wheel sharply.

In this scene, Nguyen Thao asked director Duong Minh Chien if he needed to slow down so that Quang Tuan could jump onto the car. However, the director told him to run as fast as he could because he believed Quang Tuan could do it. But, unfortunately, the jump caused the actor to sprain his ankle. The whole crew had to stop immediately at 3am.

Recalling this accident, Quang Tuan said his leg got caught and bent back into the car, causing it to bend. At that time, the film crew had to call a medical team to come and set his leg.

According to Quang Tuan, when filming action movies, he will definitely get hit and injured. In addition to the leg injury, he also suffered a finger injury that has not fully healed for many days.

Because of the recurring illness, when he participated in the Running Man program, he did not have enough strength to tear off his name tag.

Not only recounting Quang Tuan's memorable on-set accidents, the behind-the-scenes footage also reveals many interesting details.

That was the scene where Nguyen Thao slapped her co-star Dai Bao seven times, causing his ear to ring and forcing him to stop filming. After that scene, the actress immediately apologized and took care of her co-star, while director Duong Minh Chien just smiled with satisfaction because "finally he was able to deliver a slap with real emotion".

Nguyen Thao said the director is very perfectionist. A scene is only complete when it has three elements: expression, action and camera angle. If one of the three is missing, it will be asked to be redone.

She said there were scenes that only appeared on screen for a minute, but the crew had to film for three or four days to achieve perfection in rhythm and emotion.

Director Duong Minh Chien said, "In Search of Ambergris" is a cinematic dream that he and his colleagues have cherished for many years.

Before the official filming, he and the crew re-edited each action scene, watched each beat, each shot, to make sure each scene was interesting, then handed it over to the actors to perform.

Scenes of motorbikes flying up in the middle of the market, actors being thrown through windows or crashing into real tables and chairs were all performed in the spirit of “real fighting, real falling, real emotions”. Director Duong Minh Chien also emphasized that with this project, the action is strong enough without being excessive, the comedy is charming enough without being overdone.

The Quest for Ambergris tells the story of the journey to find a sacred treasure of brothers Tam (Quang Tuan) and Tuan (Ma Ran Do), accompanied by Ut Linh (Nguyen Thao) and Hoang (Long-haired Hoang). From a chase driven by greed, the group of characters gradually realizes the true value of family love, neighborhood love and loyalty.

The film will have early screenings from 6 p.m. on November 12 and 13, before its official opening on November 14.
