The film "Searching for Ambergris" has just released its first behind-the-scenes footage, revealing the journey the film crew went through to create the spectacular action sequences.

According to actress Nguyen Thao, in the scene where she was driving the car out of the warehouse, she was carrying actors Quang Tuan, Hoang with long hair, and Ma Ran Do. The car was carrying 200kg and was going very fast; it didn't even have time to brake at the intersection. Nguyen Thao had to struggle to keep the wheels moving and make sharp turns.
In this scene, Nguyen Thao herself asked director Duong Minh Chien if they needed to slow down so Quang Tuan could jump onto the car. However, the director said to run as fast as he could because he believed Quang Tuan could do it. Unfortunately, the jump caused the actor to sprain his ankle. The entire crew had to stop filming immediately at 3 a.m.

Recalling the accident, Quang Tuan said his leg got caught and twisted backward in the car, causing it to bend. The film crew had to call medical personnel to reset his leg.
According to Quang Tuan, when filming action movies, it's inevitable to get hit and injured. Besides a leg injury, he also suffered a finger injury, which hadn't fully healed even several days later.
Because of recurring injuries, when he participated in the Running Man program, he didn't have enough strength to tear off the name tag.

Besides recounting Quang Tuan's memorable on-set mishaps, the behind-the-scenes footage also reveals many interesting details.
That was the scene where Nguyen Thao actually slapped her co-star Dai Bao seven times, causing him to feel dizzy and forcing filming to stop. After the scene, the actress immediately apologized and took care of her co-star, while director Duong Minh Chien just smiled with satisfaction because "finally, we got a slap that felt real."
Nguyen Thao said that the director is a perfectionist. A scene is only considered complete when all three elements are present: expression, action, and camera angle. If any of the three are missing, it will be asked to be redone.
She said that some scenes only appear on screen for a mere minute, but the crew had to film for three or four days to achieve the perfect rhythm and emotion.
Director Duong Minh Chien said that "Searching for Ambergris" is a cinematic dream that he and his colleagues have cherished for many years.
Before filming officially began, he and his team rehearsed each action scene, checking every beat and every camera shot to ensure each sequence was exciting before handing it over to the actors to perform.
Scenes of motorbikes being tossed around in the market, actors being thrown out of windows, or crashing into tables and chairs were all performed in the true spirit of "real fighting, real falls, real emotions." Director Duong Minh Chien also emphasized that with this project, the action is strong enough without being excessive, and the humor is charming enough without being overdone.
The film "Searching for Ambergris" tells the story of brothers Tam (Quang Tuan) and Tuan (Ma Ran Do) on their journey to recover a sacred treasure, accompanied by Ut Linh (Nguyen Thao) and Hoang (Hoang with long hair). From a chase driven by greed, the characters gradually realize the true value of family ties, community spirit, and loyalty.
The film will have early screenings from 6 PM on November 12th and 13th, before its official release on November 14th.
