On November 30th, Dong Van commune The launching ceremony for the Dao Thanh Phan Ethnic Culture Preservation and Development Clubs was held in three villages: Khe Moi, Khe Tien, and Song Mooc. This is the first model of an ethnic minority culture preservation and development club established in Binh Lieu district.
The three clubs, with a total of 60 members, were established with the aim of eliminating outdated customs, preserving and promoting the fine traditional values of the Dao Thanh Phan ethnic group, in conjunction with building culturally advanced families and villages, and the New Rural Development movement. In particular, households participating in the clubs will have the opportunity to learn and share experiences in preserving traditional culture in conjunction with developing community tourism .
The clubs were established in accordance with Decision No. 3536/QD-UBND dated December 27, 2018, of the People's Committee of Binh Lieu District approving the Project on preserving and promoting the cultural values of ethnic groups in Binh Lieu District until 2020 and orientation until 2030, and Plan No. 59/KH-UBND dated June 12, 2024, of the People's Committee of Dong Van Commune on the establishment of the Club for Preserving and Developing the Culture of the Dao Thanh Phan Ethnic Group.
On this occasion, Dong Van commune also inaugurated a model homestay in traditional rammed-earth houses in Khe Tien village, Dong Van commune. The homestay is built using modern technology, inspired by the traditional rammed-earth houses of the Dao Thanh Phan people, but designed to high-end accommodation standards to meet the needs of tourists, especially international visitors, when coming to Binh Lieu.
At this homestay, besides staying in a traditional house, visitors can also experience many unique cultural and tourism activities such as watching ethnic cultural performances, enjoying traditional dishes of the Dao Thanh Phan people, trekking through the forest in Dong Van, and visiting the lives of the villagers. This is the first homestay model in Khe Tien village.
In the near future, Dong Van commune plans to encourage residents to participate in building traditional rammed-earth homestays so that Khe Tien village can become a distinctive tourist village with at least 30 homestays.
