Sóc Bom Bo has long been an indomitable symbol of unity, patriotism, and courage in the resistance against the American invasion. The image of the S'tiêng ethnic people pounding rice to feed the troops in the vast forest – readily eating wild roots to give rice, eating ash to give salt to the soldiers – has entered history, poetry, and the memories of many generations, and has given life to the song "The Sound of the Pestle in Sóc Bom Bo" composed by musician Xuân Hồng.

According to the Decision, the protected area for the historical site is specifically demarcated; the People's Committees at all levels are responsible for managing, protecting, and promoting its value in accordance with the Law on Cultural Heritage. This is an important milestone, affirming the historical value of this heroic land, and at the same time opening up great opportunities for the development of cultural tourism for the locality.

In 2015, Phase 1 of the S'tiêng ethnic cultural conservation area in Bom Bo village was completed and put into operation on an area of 39 hectares (the overall plan covers more than 113 hectares), with a total investment of over 85 billion VND. The project includes many items such as: traditional longhouses, reception houses, festival grounds, schools, craft villages, transportation systems, electricity and water supply… All aim to recreate the living space, preserve customs, beliefs and cultural identity of the S'tiêng people.

Being classified as a National Monument is not only a tribute to history, but also a foundation for Soc Bom Bo to become a unique destination on the tourism map of the Southeast region – where visitors can both learn about its glorious past and experience the unique culture of the S'tieng people.
