Flights and trains in India's capital, New Delhi, continued to be disrupted today, January 15th, due to dense fog and cold weather blanketing the northern part of the country.
This is the second consecutive day of disruptions to transportation in New Delhi. According to the aviation tracking website Flightradar24 , at least 168 flights departing from the Indian capital were delayed and 56 were canceled on the morning of January 15th. India Today reported that more than 100 other flights were also affected the day before.

Meanwhile, at least 18 trains to New Delhi from various parts of the country were also delayed due to dense fog, ANI news agency reported.
The Times of India, citing forecasts from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), reports that the current situation could continue in the north of the country for the next 4-5 days. Specifically on January 16th, "very dense fog" will blanket New Delhi, along with low temperatures hovering around 4 degrees Celsius.
In the event of severe fog, Delhi airport issued advisories urging passengers to contact their airlines before their trip.
"Due to dense fog, flight operations at Delhi airport may be affected. Passengers are encouraged to contact their respective airlines for the latest flight information," the airport authority announced on social media platform X.
