“Howdy Korea” is a strategic project of The Korea Times, with the mission of introducing the language and cultural identity of Korea to the public in the region and international friends.

Founded on November 1, 1950, The Korea Times is the oldest of the three English-language daily newspapers published in South Korea, owned by the Hankook Ilbo newspaper group.

The Korea Times is considered a "gateway to discovering Korea" for English-speaking tourists and diplomatic delegations from various countries; it provides information on a wide range of fields such as politics , society, trade, finance, culture, and sports.

Last July, the World and Vietnam Newspaper – the official publication of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – and The Korea Times signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance information sharing between the two sides.
