Community sports on the table at the world conference on mass sports

(NLDO) - The future of health, sports and community will be discussed at the World Conference on Mass Sports held in Ho Chi Minh City this coming December.

Mass Participation World (MPW), in collaboration with Sunrise Events Vietnam (SEV), officially announced that the 10th annual conference (MPW 25) will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on December 4 and 5, 2025.

MPW 25 is expected to continue promoting the development of the community sports industry.

World Conference on Mass Sport

Coinciding with the 8th Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon (taking place from December 5-7), the 10th World Congress on Mass Sports brings together leading industry leaders – including race and triathlon organizers, brand partners, government agencies and technology pioneers – to share trends, experiences and strategic perspectives that will shape the next decade of sports.

This is the third time MPW has been held in Vietnam, and even more special as this year also marks the 10th anniversary of both SEV and MPW.

The mass sports ecosystem in Vietnam has grown strongly in recent years, however, there is still a lot of potential to continue promoting health values, sports tourism, as well as strengthening the connection between brands and communities, not only in Vietnam but also reaching out globally.

Mr. Trinh Bang, Chairman and Co-founder of Sunrise Events Vietnam, added: "We hope to receive the support and active participation from local authorities and management agencies this year. Mass sports events are not only about competition, but also contribute to building a healthier, more dynamic and connected society."

By broadening the perspective, MPW 25 seeks to explore how mass sport can become a powerful catalyst for innovation, sustainable development and positive social impact.

The main topics at the conference include: Mass sports trends after COVID-19; Technological innovation and athlete experience; Public-private partnership for public health; Sustainable sports tourism and urban impact; Community building and promoting "Diversity - Equality - Inclusion in sports".

The MPW 25 conference is held at the same time as the Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon 2025, one of the leading mass sporting events in Vietnam.

This combination gives delegates the opportunity to experience the event firsthand, while linking conference discussions with the realities of organizing and operating large-scale events.
