Ho Chi Minh City rewards many 'bright spots' in the mass movement to protect national security

On the afternoon of July 11, the Steering Committee for Crime Prevention and Building the Movement for All People to Protect National Security (ANTQ) of Ho Chi Minh City held a summary of 10 years of implementing the Ministry of Public Security 's directive on promoting the movement for all people to protect national security in the new situation.

At the Conference, Lieutenant General Le Hong Nam - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police said that currently in Ho Chi Minh City there are more than 300,000 businesses operating, along with about 1,000 agencies and nearly 3,290 educational establishments. Due to the increasing demand for security services, ensuring security and order in agencies, businesses, schools and educational establishments is given special attention.

According to the Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police, in the past 10 years (2014 - 2024), the city has coordinated with agencies and units to organize 51 security training courses and issued certificates to more than 4,500 security guards. In addition, the City Police regularly coordinate to advise and guide heads of agencies and units to build and strengthen specialized and semi-specialized security forces,...

Notably, the City Police have built and consolidated advanced models and examples in the mass movement to protect national security in the area. In particular, maintaining the operation of 41 models of self-defense, self-management, and self-protection of national security and order.

According to Lieutenant General Le Hong Nam, these models have helped promote the role of the people in preventing and fighting crimes and social evils. At the same time, they have created conditions for the police force and other departments to coordinate more effectively in the work of protecting security and order.

On this occasion, Ho Chi Minh City Police organized a commendation ceremony and awarded certificates of merit to 1 collective and 8 individuals of the City Police and 12 collectives and 19 individuals of agencies, businesses and educational institutions in the area.
