Over 2,200 athletes compete in the 2024 Vietnam Super Marathon

On March 23, the Vietnam Ultra Marathon 2024 took place in Ban Lac, Chieng Chau commune (Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh ). This is the latest race in the Topas Vietnam Trail Series, including the first ultra marathon in Vietnam - Vietnam Mountain Marathon in Sapa (Lao Cai), along with races in Moc Chau (Son La) and Pu Luong (Thanh Hoa).

The tournament was held for the first time in Mai Chau district, gathering more than 2,200 athletes from 38 countries to participate in the trail running challenge in 05 events from 05km to 70km super marathon. The 2024 Vietnam Super Marathon also has the participation of special athletes, especially children from difficult circumstances from the Blue Dragon Children's Organization.

This is not only an international sports tourism event, but also an opportunity for Hoa Binh province in general and Mai Chau district in particular to introduce Mai Chau tourist area to domestic and international friends. Thereby exploiting and promoting the potential and advantages of the tourism sector, contributing to promoting the development of the tourist area in the area. At the same time, promoting "Mai Chau - Attractive - Friendly - Safe Destination" to domestic and international tourists. From the morning of March 23, athletes have officially entered the competition in 05 events of the tournament. The 70km Super Marathon starts at the campfire ground of Lac village; the 50km Marathon starts at Bao hamlet, Bao La commune; the 25km Half Marathon starts at the campfire ground of Lac village; the 10km amateur event starts at the campfire ground of Lac village and the 05km amateur event starts at the campfire ground of Lac village.

After a day of exciting, enthusiastic and fascinating competition, the championships in the competition categories were awarded to the athletes who made great efforts and deserved it. Specifically, in the 70km distance, the first prize (Female) belonged to athlete Cush Kathryn (Australia), the first prize (Male) was athlete John Ray Onifa (Philippines). In the 50km distance, the first prize (Female) belonged to athlete Vanja Cnops (Belgium), (Male) belonged to athlete Iurii Shtankov (Russian Federation).

25km distance, First prize (Female) belongs to athlete Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh (Vietnam); (Male) belongs to athlete Randolf Gonzales (Philippines). 10km distance, First prize (Female) belongs to athlete Kiera Bailey (United Kingdom), (Male) is athlete Nong Van Chuyen (Vietnam). 5km distance, First prize (Female) belongs to athlete Bui Thi Lan (Vietnam), First prize (Male) is athlete Nguyen Ngoc Anh (Vietnam).
