Central Youth Union builds charity houses, awards scholarships to students in Ha Tinh

On October 19, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated with the Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union to organize a series of meaningful social security activities in Ly Tu Trong's hometown on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of his birth (October 20, 1914 - October 20, 2024).

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luong - Standing Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, local leaders and permanent representatives of provincial, municipal and affiliated unions attended the series of activities.

The delegation awarded 105 scholarships and gifts to students in difficult circumstances in Thach Ha and Can Loc districts.

Presenting a map of the Fatherland in response to the campaign of being proud of a strip of land and a television to support teaching at Ly Tu Trong Vocational College; starting construction of a charity house for a household in Thach Ha district.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and its provincial, municipal and affiliated unions carried out activities to inaugurate and hand over works at the Ly Tu Trong hero memorial site. At the same time, they donated social security resources to people and students in Ha Tinh province with a total amount of more than 1.9 billion VND.

Within the framework of the program, the delegation offered incense in memory and visited the exhibition about the life and career of Ly Tu Trong at the memorial site; and offered incense at the Dong Loc T-junction relic site.
