On October 19th, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, in coordination with the Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union, organized a series of meaningful social welfare activities in the hometown of Ly Tu Trong to commemorate the 110th anniversary of his birth (October 20, 1914 – October 20, 2024).
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luong – Permanent Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, local leaders, and representatives from the permanent committees of provincial and city youth unions and affiliated youth unions attended the series of activities.

The delegation presented 105 scholarships and gifts to disadvantaged students in Thach Ha and Can Loc districts.
Donating a map of the homeland in response to the "Proud of our Nation" campaign and a television to support teaching at Ly Tu Trong Vocational College; commencing construction of a charitable house for a family in Thach Ha district.
On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, along with provincial and city youth unions and affiliated unions, carried out activities to inaugurate and hand over projects at the Ly Tu Trong Hero Memorial Area. They also donated social welfare resources to people and students in Ha Tinh province, totaling over 1.9 billion VND.

As part of the program, the delegation visited the memorial site to offer incense and pay respects, and toured the exhibition about the life and career of Ly Tu Trong; they also offered incense at the Dong Loc Crossroads historical site.
