DNVN - The exchange rate movements between the Vietnamese Dong (VND) and the US Dollar (USD) and the Chinese Yuan (CNY) at banks on March 3rd showed changes in two different directions.
This morning, the State Bank of Vietnam announced the central exchange rate at 24,758 VND/USD, 32 dong higher than on February 28th. According to the +/-5% fluctuation margin, the ceiling exchange rate is set at 25,996 VND/USD, while the floor exchange rate is 23,520 VND/USD. At the State Bank of Vietnam's exchange trading floor, the reference exchange rate is currently at 23,540 - 25,912 VND/USD (buying - selling).
Meanwhile, at 8:30 AM, both Vietcombank and BIDV were listing the USD exchange rate at 25,370 - 25,730 VND/USD (buy - sell). Compared to the rate at the beginning of the morning on February 28th, Vietcombank increased by 20 dong in both buying and selling rates, while BIDV adjusted down by 25 dong.
For the Chinese Yuan (CNY), the exchange rate at Vietcombank today is listed at 3,453 - 3,564 VND/CNY (buy - sell), an increase of 4 dong compared to the morning of February 28th. Conversely, BIDV adjusted the rate down by 2 dong in both directions, bringing the price to 3,470 - 3,566 VND/CNY (buy - sell).
