On May 14, Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to a report on the operation of the walking street in Phan Rang - Thap Cham City. Attending were leaders of relevant departments, branches, localities and units.

During the pilot implementation of the walking street, in general, security and order, traffic flow were well implemented, food safety and hygiene, and environmental sanitation were ensured. Cultural, artistic, entertainment and shopping activities were diverse and rich, attracting a large number of people and tourists. Particularly during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, it is estimated that the walking street attracted 22,000 visitors to visit and experience, contributing to the development of the night-time economy for Phan Rang - Thap Cham City in particular and Ninh Thuan Province in general. In addition, the walking street still has some problems such as: Coordination between agencies and units in implementation is still limited; people's awareness of preserving the landscape and environment is not high; there are many spontaneous parking spots with high prices, the situation of driving into the walking street still exists; OCOP booths have not been able to retain tourists...

Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the achievements of the Project and pointed out the shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome. In order for the walking street to be effective, he suggested that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism should strengthen coordination with departments, branches and localities to support and participate in organizing cultural and artistic performances. The Provincial Youth Union and the Departmentof Education and Training should promote and mobilize clubs and dance groups to actively register to participate in performances and cultural and artistic exchanges on the walking street, especially in the upcoming summer. Phan Rang-Thap Cham City should urgently review spontaneous parking lots and raise awareness among people about environmental protection. OCOP product stalls should be grouped into a common stall of the Business Association to improve efficiency. The People's Committees of the districts actively coordinate to participate in unique cultural and artistic performances and local products, contributing to creating a joyful, impressive and novel atmosphere on the walking street to attract people and tourists...
