Many Hanoi students hospitalized after drinking free water outside school gates, suspected of poisoning

On the afternoon of September 30, students of Binh Minh Secondary School (Thanh Oai District) received a bottle of soft drink distributed for free near the school gate and used it.

After using, some students showed signs of suspected poisoning such as stomachache, fatigue... Some students with severe symptoms were taken to the hospital for health monitoring.

According to the Thanh Oai District Department of Education and Training, the student’s health condition has stabilized this morning (October 1). Thanh Oai District authorities are urgently investigating the incident.

Regarding the information about the above incident, also on the morning of October 1, a representative of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that the Department had grasped the incident and requested the Thanh Oai District Department of Education and Training to inspect, verify, and report specifically.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has sent warning information to district and town education and training departments about the phenomenon of students suffering from stomach aches after drinking free drinking water near school gates.
