During the reign of Le Thanh Tong, the Dai Viet state developed brilliantly in all aspects from economy, politics , military to education, culture, society, not just economy or education. Regarding education , Le Thanh Tong paid special attention to developing education and training talents. He expanded and built many new schools and warehouses; regularly organized exams to select many doctors and laureates; actively reformed education and issued new policies to avoid cheating in exams.
In terms of culture, Confucianism became dominant. The king focused on compiling history, books, and poetry.
Le Thanh Tong's domestic and diplomatic achievements helped Dai Viet become a powerful nation in the region, respected by neighboring countries. This period is often called the Hong Duc Prosperity, because it took place during the Hong Duc years.
