Vietnam is the top destination for Korean tourists in Summer 2024

More and more Korean tourists are choosing overseas tourist destinations that are within close distance during the holidays, or taking vacations early to avoid peak seasons, in order to reduce the financial burden.
According to the analysis of the number of overseas reservations by Koreans from June to August, the peak period of the summer vacation season, the number of reservations in the Philippines and Vietnam increased 3.1 times and 3 times, respectively, compared to the same period in 2023. Previously, statistics published by Yeogi Eottae on May 2 said that as of the end of April 2023, the number of reservations in two Southeast Asian countries, the Philippines and Vietnam, were leading, and destinations in Southeast Asia were emerging as popular travel options. In addition to nearby destinations such as Southeast Asia and Japan, Eastern Europe also recorded a high number of reservations. According to a leader of Kyowon Tour Travel Easy Group, due to high inflation, many customers choose nearby tourist destinations during the holidays or take vacations early to avoid peak season and reduce costs.
