Vietnam is the top destination for Korean tourists in Summer 2024

More and more Korean tourists are choosing overseas destinations that are close by during the holidays, or taking vacations early to avoid peak seasons, in order to reduce the burden of expenses.

According to an analysis of overseas bookings by Koreans from June to August, the peak of the summer vacation season, the number of bookings in the Philippines and Vietnam increased 3.1 times and 3 times, respectively, compared to the same period in 2023. Previously, statistics released by Yeogi Eottae on May 2 said that as of the end of April 2023, the number of bookings in the two Southeast Asian countries, the Philippines and Vietnam, were leading, and Southeast Asian destinations were emerging as popular travel options.
